Good time was had by all

Evening Everybody

Well that was hard work but well worth it but I need to do a bit better.  My craft fair was a great success the only thing that went wrong was the fact that the only table I had big enough to take my stock was a wallpapering table lol, and it bowed in the middle so I need to buy a 6ft folding table.

I sold all my candles in boxes, quite a few soaps, and container candles and lots of charms and little angels, I even managed to sell a card or two.  My total profit for 8 hours selling was (drum roll please) £150.00 so much better than the last craft fair I did where I had a loss of £6.50.  I have one more craft fair but that is at our local Village Hall in aid of the Rookies (under 5's) and should get a good turn out, then that's it for this year.  Must make more soap and candles.  Sarah is going to take the Christmas Cards to work with her so should have some sales from that as everybody has been asking her to bring them in but I wanted to get this big Craft Fair out of the way first.

I am still suffering with sore throat and now the snuffles and aches and pains so am stuffing myself with lemsip and other bits and bobs to move things along.

I will resume normal blogging this week, have been catching up with my DT work this evening which needed doing urgently so now I have a couple of cards on order and need to get on making those.

Hope you are all having a good weekend and I will certainly catch up with everybody next week.

Lots of love

Feel awful

Afternoon All

On the day I most needed to be on form for this Craft Market that starts at 5.30pm tonight in Ivybridge I awoke with a really bad sore throat and as the day has proceeded I have begun to feel more and more like I am going down with the flu.  I have headache, aches in all my muscles and just want to close my eyes and go back to sleep, if it wasn't for the sore throat then I would say I was having a fibromyalgia flare up (could be a bit of both).  Alan is finishing early today bless so that he can help me load and unload the car as I am just not able to lift the crates of goodies that I have.  Just hope I have enough stock.

I will try later to blog hop but not sure if I will get to it or not today, but will try and catch up with everyone over the weekend if not.

Well I better get in the shower, it is now 14.25 and I am still not dressed been making Christmas Gift Tags and more Angels but have given up on the angels only so many holes you can prick without going cross eyed and the way I feel at the moment well you can imagine.

Will take a photo of my stall and post it tomorrow and let you know how I have done, lets hope its better than last Friday.

Love to all

Evening all

Hi Everybody

Whilst my head is buzzing with ideas for this two day craft fair event that I am attending tomorrow night (starts 5.30pm - 10.pm and Saturday 9.30 - 2.30pm, I have been making candles in boxes, Angels, Phone Tags and other bits and bobs, I thought I best catch up with where I am at as my head has been all over the place and I have news to share with everybody

I am now a DT member for 4 teams wow how did that happen so excited.

  •  The second is Crafting for all Seasons  and again new challenges every fortnight on a Wednesday so this one which is Birthdays and is sponsored by the fantastic   Bugaboo Stamps and the fantastic prize of 7 digital stamps how magic is that so pop along and join in if you love Bugaboo Stamps as much as I do.

  •  My third is Open Minded Crafting Fun and although we are not up and running with challenges until 4th January why not pop along and become a member so that you can enter our very first challenge, again I look forward to seeing you.

  • My fourth and last DT Spot is with Fantasy Stampers BlogSpot and again we are not completely up and running until the 4th January so why not take a browse and become a member (stalker) and join in with the wonderful challenges ahead.
I do not have a card to show you today but do have this beautiful candle I made for my granddaughter and her boyfriend as part of their Christmas Box.

The image on the candle is of my Granddaughter Nicole and her boyfriend, this turned out quite well considering that the tissue paper kept getting ink marks all over it so printed just onto some plain A4 paper and then blended into the candle as I know they won't burn it so it was ok for me to use the paper.

Well that's it tonight for me am off to bed had a full on day today with lunch at Boringdon Hall as part of our Village Hall Committee Christmas Lunch only two more to go and then it will be the real deal, OMG I am so not ready.

Lots of love to all

Dithering

Morning All

Hope everybody is well and keeping warm, my its been a bit chilly.  Can you see another Design Team badge have gone from 1 design team to 4 now, and that is my limit I think, don't want to get too bogged down.

Well I have made a big decision I will not be making cards everyday as I am overloaded with them so am going to do other bits and bobs that will sell, so I will only now be making cards when ordered and for my design teams at least until half of the cards I have at the moment have sold.

So what have I been doing for the past couple of days, dithering, I am half way through a couple of things and just can't seem to get my act together, I bought the tonic studio star die and have been trying to put it together think I am stupid or completely brain dead as this is defeating me just can't seem to make it work and that's even after watching a tutorial on YouTube.   I have also sat looking at candles waiting for me to put images on them and need to make boxes as I have a two day craft fair to attend this weekend so need to sort myself out.

Lots to do today, Coffee Stop this morning, need to go and buy a new top to go with my outfit for tomorrow, going out for lunch, also go and buy some spray paint as I am making a tree to hang my angels off and my mobile phone tags that I have made.

Waiting for some craft stuff to arrive from The Glitterpot, and from The Ribbon Girl so I can sort a few other bits out to sell.

Photo today is my mobile phone charms that I will be selling on my stall.  I was going to try using shrink plastic but need a few more goes first to get it right.

I will do my best to do some blog hopping tonight as I feel awful not posting comments to everybody.

Get up and go has got up and gone

Afternoon Everybody

Hope you are all well and keeping warm very cold here today.

My get up and go has got up and gone not sure where too but I am sitting in my little craft area looking at things that need doing and just can't seem to muster up the energy to do anything.  I am sorry I have not caught up with everybody over the last couple of days but the time has got away from me.

Here is a card I have been promising to put onto my blog for a couple of days now it is a precious moments image don't ask where I got it from as I can't remember only know I have had it for a long time.

Sorry about the picture quality but my camera is playing up it's getting old a bit like me really.  I have to go out into Ivybridge just now but will be back to blog hop a bit later.

Thank You to all my Fellow Bloggers

Hi All

Just a quick post tonight, sorry I have not caught up with you all but it's been a bit full on over the last couple of days, went to Rachel's crafting yesterday afternoon, made some more boxes for my candles, and also a square Christmas Cracker will post these tomorrow as not finished or taken any photo's yet.

Wanted to say thank you to everyone for your support after the fiasco of the craft fair on Friday.

I have booked in to a two day Advent Fair in Ivybridge on Friday Night and Saturday apparently this is well attended and I have been making a Kusadama paper flowers and now I have the hang of it will go and get some Christmas papers tomorrow and make a few of them to sell, am also concentrating on my pillar candles with pictures on them and taking orders to personalise some.  Already have an order for two personalised candles which is good.

Have you noticed on the left hand side of my blog page I am with another DT team called Fantasy Stampers brand new challenge blog not even up and running yet we start on the 4th January so be sure to pop along and join in with the challenges and give us your support.
I do have a card I made the other day to show you but have not photographed it yet and my desk is covered it bits of paper and card.

I have a photo to show you of my darling daughter Sarah who went to a masquerade ball on Friday night needless to say I think she looks beautiful, only thing is she did not have the mask on when these were taken but she said a couple of her friends took photos and they are going to send her some.

Am off just now as its getting late and I need to get out of this computer chair not very comfortable.  Will try and catch up with everybody tomorrow.

I bet you're all agog to know how my craft fair went

Morning all

My craft fair was a big flop made a loss of £6.50, table was £10.00 sold a candle at 2.50 and a scented drawer sachet for 50p and a door hanger which was reduced to 50p as I had them last year on offer for £1.00 but they didn't sell.

Alan and I were chatting on our way home and he said I was aiming at the wrong market level that I needed to up my game and not do the school craft fairs but to up my game and go to actual craft fairs that the councils etc put on so I have found a site and put my name down cost £25.00 a year but they tell you where the action is and let people know about you through their site.  So am waiting to hear now, but I have decided that although I love making cards I need to branch out into other papercrafts so am going to have a rethink and a brainstorm session with my crafty buddy Rachel.

I will still be making cards as there is no way I could give that up I love it too much but want to introduce things like note pads, writing sets, things like that so if anyone out their has any ideas everything would be welcome (clean of course).

I am going to try and personalise some candles by putting images of loved one's on them see how they go, starting with my granddaughter and her boyfriend.  These would make perfect anniversary presents, Christening presents, Wedding presents wow the list is endless.

I do have a card to show you but Sarah went to a masquerade ball last night and took the camera with her so cannot take any pictures until she comes home, so will finish my blog tonight.

Bye for now

They are offering a $20 Gift Certificate to one lucky winner!

So why not pop along and join in the fun.

This is my card I used a Whimsy Stamp which I have had for a while and not used so thought she would be ideal for today's card.  The papers are from my stash and I think from Silent Night not sure though.  corner die is a memory box one and the sentiment was from Here.

I am out this afternoon at a craft fair at Manor School in Ivybridge so will not be blog hopping until tonight, am also hoping to go to Rachel's on Saturday for a play.

Lazy Day yesterday

Morning all

Real lazy day yesterday did no crafting whatsoever, went to my coffee morning, came home had lunch, sat down to do some blogging, sorted my emails out, spoke to my big sister Trish (hello Trish) knows she checks my blog out.  The 5 blinds I ordered for windows throughout the bungalow have arrived so guess what Alan will be doing this weekend.?  Finishing the kitchen off 1/2 way through painting it so really need to get that done as I want to order the flooring.  Thinking of having cushion flooring so that its a bit easier on the old feet and not so cold.

I am stuck indoors waiting for the electrician to come out and fit a new thermostat to our towel rail so I can have nice warm towels when I get out the shower, spoilt or what.

I have put a couple of pictures below of Toby and Bella in my chair, Toby is so cute when he is like this but when he runs rampaging through the house when your trying to sleep I want to skin him, bless.  Today Toby had the great idea of being like an Andrex Puppy and unravelling the toilet paper from the roll, life must of been so boring without him, only one word to describe him really MONSTER.

Don't they look cute together

this is Toby wrapping himself up in Christmas paper wanting to help

Here are a couple of the angels I said I would make, am also going to try and get some more crackers in boxes made up think another two should do it.   I have made 7 of these so far and aim to make another three as I don't want to be left with too many of them as nowhere to store, everything filled up with Sarah's stuff until she gets herself settled with somewhere to live.

A close up picture think these are so cute.  Die cut is a Marianne Design which I have been looking at since she brought it out but  have only just bought.

Will be back a bit later to do a bit of blog hopping to see all your wonderful creations.

Wonderful Wonderful New

Morning all

OK I can share my really good news with you now, I am so excited am doing a happy jig around the chair, can't jig without support lol.  I have been chosen over at Crafting for all Seasons as a member of their design team along with Annie my blogging buddy.  We are not officially starting until January but what crafter can wait that long to make some cards with the gorgeous designs that come from our generous sponsors.  Why not pop along and take part in the current challenge.  You never know you could be picked as a winner and enjoy lots of fantastic prizes.

I had a lovely day in my craft room yesterday and made the following using lots of tissue paper and card, Rachel gave me the idea when I was checking her blog out so thought I would give it a go.
So I made the following, three candles with images printed onto tissue paper and then 3 milk boxes to hold the candles used Barkley Christmas CD and Makey Bakey Mice Christmas CD.  These are going to be for  my Craft Fair on Friday but not sure how much to charge for them, the candles were £3.00 each and then the 2 sheets of A4 card and ink mmm will have to think on this.   Yes I know I said I would post angels today but got carried away making these little darlings instead.  The only thing is I don't know how much to charge for them as people want something for nothing these days, especially with the economic climate being the way it is.

Did you know that my cards were highlighted here didn't know anything about it until Annie sent me an email and told me about it so wow am well chuffed.

Am off out shortly for the Wednesday Morning Coffee Stop which is over in the community rooms here in Cornwood looking forward to seeing everyone as otherwise don't see a soul unless I go out to the shops.

Well that's it from me for now,  need to get myself  a shower and sort myself out before 10.30 will be back blog hopping to see your wonderful creations.

Lots of love

A well chuffed Alison xx

Flaming Computers

Hi All

Don't know whether to say good morning or good evening, I am sitting in my little craft area with my main computer doing a system restore hoping to resolve the issue of my DVD/CD drive not working and also trying to download my printer onto Sarah's laptop so I can print from my crafters companion cd's as I wanted to do some printing onto tissue paper and get some Christmas candles made up.  It is now 30 minutes past midnight and I think I'm going to bed and letting everything run overnight.  Will be back in the morning nite nite.  Xx

Morning Everybody

Well had a better night's sleep without Toby in our bedroom last night thank goodness, he slept with Sarah and did not disturb her at all or so she says.

My computer is sort of behaving itself this morning or at least I can read a CD on it and open the files but I think I might buy an external DVD/CD drive as a back up.

My card today is

I wanted to make a card that was suitable for a male for Christmas and came up with this cute little bunny.  Crafters Companion CD think the image was off the Makey Bakey Mice Christmas CD.

I am going to try and make some little Christmas decorations today will showcase them tomorrow and also share some fantastic news with you all.    I hope you will not be offended but I have listed some items for sale if anyone is interested but if nobody on here wants them then I will put them on ebay.

1 x Punch and Stamp Set by Tonic Studio (pick of the bunch) Clematis/lily/poinsettia

1 x Punch and Stamp Set by Tonic Studio (pick of the bunch) Rose/Pansy/Camellia/Gardenia

1 x Punch and Stamp Set by Tonic Studio (pick of the bunch) Carnation/Sweet William/Peony

I bought these for £24.99 each plus postage and am selling them for £15.00 each plus postage if anyone is interested they have been used once. They are still in original boxes and excellent condition.

I also have a sure cuts a lot CD version 1 if anyone is interested just let me know and all I want is postage.

My elderly neighbour is having her bathroom turned into a wet room this week so I will be looking after her and the workmen until it has finished.  She is such a sweet old lady and I try to help her as much as I can but she does have family who live in the village but they take advantage of her as I have mentioned in previous posts.

I am off to have a shower and to get dressed before the workmen turn up as I will be making them all a cuppa and I am not a pretty sight until I have put my war paint on.

Will be back later to do a bit of blog hopping once the ipad has fully charged.

Love to all

Long Night

Morning all

Toby was up to his usual antics last night, feel sorry for poor Bella as he jumps all over her wanting to play but at 2am in the morning it's the last thing we need as Bella sleeps at the side of our bed.  Think he finally settled down around 3am poor old Alan has to get up at 5.30 so he didn't get much sleep either.  I had a lie in until 9.

My card today is another Christmas Card for the Craft Fair I am doing on Friday at a School in Ivybridge, Devon I now have around 65 Christmas Cards made and any I don't sell will be sent out to family and friends.

I am not entering this card into any challenges just made it out of scraps of card I had lying around.

I am off just now to have a shower and get dressed before Sarah gets home as she has just rang me to say she is in Bristol which is around 1.5 - 2 hours away from here, and I have spent some of that time hovering and getting the washing sorted and of course playing with card and sticky bits and bobs.

Will be back a bit later to do a bit of blog hopping.

Lots of love

Commissioned Baby Card

Afternoon All

Alan and my brother Bill have taken Bella out up on the moors so I am having a quiet five minutes to myself and thought I would do a quick blog.    Firstly let me give a warm welcome to Ally my new follower.

Had a awful night last night Toby the little darling was going a bit crazy me thinks, climbed onto the windowsill in the bedroom and was jumping up the wall and playing with a picture we have hanging there, he then proceeded to jump over Bella wanting to play, knocked over a vase with flowers luckily he did not break it (this is the third replacement since we had him in July).  He then started using my new bed as a scratch post and then when I chased him off he proceeded to meow at the top of his vocal cords.  Will be glad when he has mastered the art of going through the cat flap at the moment instead of using his head to push his way through he is trying to use his paws, our little ginger nut is a bit thick.  He has damaged so much two blinds, two vases, one very expensive candle holder of cut crystal, chews the heads of any fresh flowers that I buy, its a good job we love him otherwise he would be finding his bags packed for him.

Alan has asked me to make a card for his colleagues at work to sign for one of the blokes whose wife has just had a baby girl and this is what I have come up with

I have had a reply from Crafty Sentiments to say I was not successful with them.  Not sure about Crafting for all Seasons still waiting to hear from them.  I have applied to a couple of others but will wait and see.

Alan and I nipped down to the Carphone Warehouse today as he was having trouble with his new phone, all sorted very quickly which was good, but whilst there I noticed in the corner a Next Home Shop well had to have a look see and god I am in love with some of their fantastic stuff and have just priced up some new blinds to replace the ones Toby has wrecked and for two they work out at around £150.00 so will be ordering them next week.

Well that's it from me for now will be back blog hopping later on to see all your wonderful creations.

Lots of love

Two Challenges for me today Creative Inspiration and Papertake Weekly

Afternoon All

Rather cold here today and I am sitting with the door open as Toby has gone for another adventure, he keeps coming back to check we are here but then if I try to close the door he is up at the windows trying to get out, he has now broken two of my blinds, one in the kitchen and the other in my craft room.

My brother is here for the weekend which is nice as I have not seen him for ages, this also means I am not crafting with Rachel today.  I have made a card and it is for Creative Inspiration Challenge 240 and the theme for this is white on white, and also for the Papertake Weekly Challenge Snow and Ice. I have made a stepper card and used crafters companion large Christmas tree and small Christmas tree die and also their snow village which I have cut down to fit the card.  Sentiment at back of the card is a spellbinders die not sure which one as I don't keep them in their packaging.  have added some flat back pearls and a bow from stash to give it some bling.  Sorry about the picture but the light here is not good today.

I have been commissioned to make a baby girl card for one of hubby's colleagues whose wife has just had a baby girl so will get on with that when Bill (big brov) has gone back to the hotel tonight as we live in a one bedroomed bungalow so no room at the inn.

Sarah has gone to London for the weekend to stay with her best friend and will be back some time on Monday so no cooking vege meals for her this weekend which is nice.

Well am off to do lunch and will sit in the living room where it is much warmer and blog hop on the ipad.  Am going to have to close this door its freezing if Toby who is not the brightest of cats wants to come in he is just going to have to use the cat flap the training on this is not going well lol.

Love to all

Crafting for all seasons challenge - stitching real or faux

Morning all

Friday again don't know where the week has gone it goes so quickly.   A quick reminder that we are halfway through this fortnight's challenge over on Friday Sketch Challenge so why not pop over and take a look at the DT's wonderful creations and enter the challenge yourself, you never know you might just win a fantastic prize.

My card today is one I started last night and then took apart as the image I originally used just did not look right but this little beauty is from Pink Gems and she is gorgeous.  I have used papers from stash please don't ask where I got them from because I have had them for years.  My little Dear Santa Tag was computer generated as was the sentiment.   I would like to enter this card into Crafting for all seasons where the theme is stitching real or faux and as my stitching on card looks awful think I need a little bit more practice.  I decided to go with faux.

Toby our little darling (monster) has gone on an adventure, I can hear the birds going mad in the trees in the bank at the back here so he is obviously up there somewhere will go and try and coax him in with some food.  He has still not mastered the cat flap so I am sitting with the door to the garden open which is right next to my craft room oooh the draft sooo cold.

I will be back shortly to do a bit of blog hopping before starting on my next card using the image that I was going to use on the card above.

Love to all

It's a Blue Christmas

Hello Dear all

There are butterflies in my tummy I am waiting to hear if I have got on to the Design Team for Crafting for All Season's I do hope so but not heard anything yet.

Our surprise tea party for our granddaughter Nicole was a bit of a flop really, our daughter Pauline told us to get there at around 6pm which was great as Alan does not get home until 5pm by the time he had a shower and got changed it was about 20 past 5 plenty of time to drive without taking risks but then we got a phone call from Nicole asking what time we were going to her mum's said we were just leaving and should be with them by about 5.50.

When we got there the food had almost gone as they started at 5pm and didn't wait for us so I managed to get a bit of birthday cake which Nicole had saved for me. Nicole then had to leave around 6.30 as they had a coach to catch early hours of the morning.  So gave me a big hug and off she went made up with her card and present.

Pauline then proceeded to play games on her phone rather than talking to us, her hubby Brad was ok really chatty it got to around 7pm and I said I was sorry but we had to go as my back was beginning to hurt with standing up - not offered a seat, or a drink.  So there we have it got my hopes up that my daughter was beginning to come round (she stopped speaking to me in 2003) and our relationship to say the least is not good it seems to be a bit hit and miss.   Ahhhh well you can choose your friends but not your family or so they say.   She'll miss me when I am no longer around.

My card today is for the Crafty Sentiments Blogspot, and the theme is BLUE.   I had to use my Mo Manning Digi Stamp for this and then decided to make it into an easel card.  Coloured in with a combination of fleximarkers and prismacolor pencils.

Well am off to do a bit of blog hopping

Catch you all later

Love Alison xxxxx

Nearly done

Afternoon all

This is going to be a quick post as we are off out to dinner tonight our eldest granddaughter is 22 on the 17th November but her boyfriend is taking her to Disney Paris so she will not be around first time ever for her big day, so our daughter Pauline is putting on a bit of a tea for her as a surprise.  I am taking her card and present with us as I have got her some Euro's to take with her.

Did not notice I have two new top 3 spots on my blog one for Scribble and Scrap and another for Wednesday's Creative Inspirations Challenge I will get the top spot one day lol.

Toby got out today and went on walkabout for around 30 minutes but he came back thank goodness with a bit of coaxing with his treats and then this afternoon when I went to get the washing in he was out the door so quick and this time disappeared for about an hour but he came back eventually.  I have been trying to train him to use the cat flap can you picture this me and Bella on one side of the cat flap and Toby on the other me trying to bend and coax Toby with a treat and opening the cat flap for him to come through and Bella get all excited and barking dancing around and trying to get her head in the cat flap nearly wet myself laughing.  Toby is obviously not the brightest page in the book bless him, but at least I know he can get himself home if he gets out again before learning how to use the cat flap.

Our bathroom is nearly but not quite finished, the curtains needed taking up as the sink although smaller than our last one is higher so the curtains were over the taps so the hem had to go up.  I had to buy a new linen basket as the old one was too large to fit in and in the corner some storage baskets but need another one of these so am off to Argos before going to Pauline's to pick one up.

Alan had to put his drill on charge as the walls are so thick and hard that you cannot just put pictures or anything up with picture hooks it has to be drilled as the tacks just bend otherwise.  So the shelving will go up tonight or tomorrow not sure yet depends how Mr Grumpy is when he gets in from work.   I am so impatient I just want it finished now.

The card I have made today is my first ever attempt at a Criss Cross Card and am entering this into the Besties Challenge - Lots of Layers, I have wanted to make one of these cards for ages but with one thing and another have just not settled enough to make one so this week I was determined, don't think it has turned out too bad.

Well that's it for now will be back shortly to do a bit of blog hopping before we go out for tea.

Love to all

Yippeee Hurray Hurray

Afternoon All

I am pleased to announce that I am now a very clean person the bathroom was finished as far as the workmen were concerned by around 2pm today and I then took my first shower in my new wet room as my darling daughter says I took a Hollywood shower was in there for ages and I feel so nice and clean now.

We have the curtains to put up and some shelving and other bits and bobs but that's it, I will show the completed look once we have finished but this is what it looks like now

No card today as I have been busy although I have started to make a criss cross card which for me is not my usual thing but am liking the look of this one just need to complete it really so will show that one off tomorrow.

Will be back blog hopping later on but need to go and get some Euro's for my granddaughter for her birthday as she is going to Disney Paris with her boyfriend so will not be home for her big day.

Scribble and Scrap Crafts Challenge - Remembrance Sunday

Hi All

Sorry not blogged over the weekend not busy just lazy.  Went to Rachel's Saturday afternoon for our crafty get together but as I could not reach into my craft room as half the bathroom was in there I did not take anything with me to make any cards, so Rachel showed me how to make a box card, I have not finished that yet so will wait to post it.

the floor is going down in the bathroom at the moment and the new sink and toilet are here think they may be put in this afternoon hopefully.

I am making a card for the Scribble and Scrap Crafts Challenge which the theme is Remembrance Sunday which was an easy theme for me as I love the Chelsea Pensioners.   My image is a digi image on the Wrinklies CD by La Pashe coloured in with Prismacolor Pencils.  The backing papers also came from the CD.

I made the top 3 on the last challenge at Scribble and Scrap Crafts made up about this

Well that's it from me for now will back blog hopping later

Lots of love Alison xx

New Member welcome

Afternoon all

Want to welcome a new member to my blog Vicky thank you for choosing to follow me so appreciated.

Tiles are going on the bathroom walls today looking good so far, Dave our plumber/bathroom fitter is working very hard and hopefully we should have a fully functional bathroom by Tuesday next week.  Our elderly next door neighbour whom I keep an eye on phoned me yesterday asking if I would like to use her shower, oh my god it was bliss much better than a strip wash at the kitchen sink.

I have been looking at accessories for the bathroom so am off to buy a cupboard, toilet roll and soap holders that fit on the wall I also want to look at new curtains but until the floor is done and I figure out what colour I chose (can't remember now) then I will have a better idea of what I want also want a blind.

Picture of tiles

Bella is cowering under my computer desk as a lot of noise in the house am about to feed her the calming tablets that I got from the vets.   My Sarah is over the moon she had a tax rebate come through of £1,500 so I might get a good present this year lol, have told my gang that I want the geli plates kit so hopefully I might get it.

My new sky hub for my broadband came today as I have been having a lot of trouble with my old one keep dropping of line and saying that connection could not be made, mind the old one was over 10 years old so about time for an update.  So far so good.

My card today is using the Angelica CD by Crafters Companion I had cut this little ballerina out ages ago and put to one side and today I thought I would use her, all the backing papers are from the CD.

Am off to have some lunch and will then be back to do a blog hop to check out your wonderful creations.

Loads of love

Wednesday Creative Inspiration Challenge -239 Poppies or Red Flowers

Hi All

This is my third and last post for today, is it not miserable outside getting dark already and its only just after 3.15pm.    Hopefully there will be hardly any fireworks tonight but will wait and see.

The bathroom is beginning to take shape didn't take any before photo's but I do have an in-between picture with our workman Dave hard at work.

At the moment all we have in the bathroom is the toilet thank goodness or lord knows what we would be using for a loo.  I have Toby to thank for a wonderful smell (not) he has just been in his litter tray phew!!!

I have made a card to enter into Wednesday creative inspiration Challenge  239 and the theme is poppies and or red flowers, as you can see I have used poppies.

Thank goodness my back is starting to get better not as many painkillers today back on the normal dosage that I take all the time and off the morphine now which just makes me float with the fairies lol.

Right that's it from me today, will be back blog hopping later but am going to give Bella a huge hug as she has been such a good girl today whilst the floor in the bathroom was being dug out the noise was awful but bless she stayed with me in my craft room under the desk and actually went to sleep.

Bearly Mine Challenge Number 111 - Anything goes

Morning Peeps

How are you all today, it is very noisy in our household as the floor in the bathroom which is solid is being drilled out ready for the wet room floor and the shower drain to be put in Bella is hiding under my desk and Toby is sitting in the chair with me watching me type.

I am entering the card below into the Bearly Mine Challenge blog number 111 which is anything goes I have used a Crafter Companion Image from the Angelica range and turned it into a small easel card with butterflies around the outer edge and ribbon and small beads hope you like it.

Do you know my favourite word at the moment is Well I think I begin nearly every sentence with it or so it seems must break the habit.

I am off to look at some other challenges and see what is required and will be back later to do a bit of blog hopping.

A quick update on Toby and another Christmas Card

Hi All

Just a quick update on Toby Tubs he is running around like a maniac pinching Bella's treats I thought the anaesthetic would have slowed him down a bit but ohh no there's no stopping him.

Bella is cowering under my desk at the moment panting away when I was at the vets I got some stuff that is supposed to calm her down but its not working and the fireworks are going off every few minutes as bonfire parties are going on around us.

Our bathroom at the moment just holds a toilet, no sink, bath or shower so a wash at the kitchen sink it is then, picked some tiles up tonight that I had ordered so can't wait to see them up.

I have been sitting at my desk most of the day putting inserts into cards and then putting them into cello bags ready to sell.  I also finished another card off tonight which I started to make at Rachel's on Saturday.  The card is from a freebie that was in a magazine can't remember which one so here it is

Well that's it from me tonight have a date with a cup of hot chocolate and my kindle
reading The Dark Witch by Nora Roberts

Goodnight and God Bless
See you in the morning

Anything Goes

Afternoon everybody

Thought I would quickly jump onto the computer to highlight a card I made to enter the Paper Take Challenge with an optional theme of Christmas Cards, and Crafty Sentiments this week which is anything goes with the theme for the man in your life.   I started to make this card when over at Rachels at weekend when we had a fantastic afternoon catching up and making stuff or at least I did not too sure about Rachel as I kept interrupting her cannot cut a straight line to save my life lol.

These images came as a freebie in a magazine can't remember which one I just added some backing card and embellishments rather cute don't you think

Am off to sort the veg out for tonight's dinner and brown the meat off ready to go into the oven.  Have also got to go the vets to pick Toby up as he had his little bits chopped off (ouch).

Am I being a bit thick here can't find the link to add my card to the crafty sentiments challenge so perhaps I won't be entering that one until it appears. lol

I will be back a bit later to do some blog hopping.

Here come the boys

Thought I would enter another challenge and this one is Here Come the Boys and the theme is Rocker Cards I think I have only made one Rocker Card in all the time that I have been crafting so this is way out of my comfort zone, not really happy with it but I think it's because it is way out of my usual style of card.

Fireworks are being let off again tonight and Bella is shaking like a leaf bless her I have tried to drawer my main curtains in the living room which are blackout curtains and very thick to muffle the noise but don't think its helping perhaps when I take Toby to the vets will get something to give her to calm her down, there is also a shoot going on in the big estate near us so as soon as she hears them shooting she wants to come straight in.

I used a Jayne Netley Mayhew CD to make this card have had this CD for years but hardly ever use it not sure why because when I get it out I think to myself must use this CD to make cards then it goes back on the shelf to collect dust until the next time I think about it.  I used a couple of Marianne Creatable to do the leaves and the bird the sentiment was done on the computer.

Am off to help sort the kitchen out I usually just supervise and get in the way lol

Will be back blog hopping shortly.

Sketch N Stash Challenge Number 125

Afternoon Everybody

Quiet day here today not doing very much did start to have a little potter around the house but gave it up as a bad job as the crafting room was calling me.  lol.

I noticed I have a new member following me so Welcome Audrey and thank you for choosing to follow my blog.

I have won a top three badge at Sketch N Stash so my cards are not as bad as I think they are, we are all so critical of our own work why that is I don't know.  Well I want to enter this card into the Sketch N Stash Challenge Number 125 and the theme is fairy tale how cute is that.  I used a LOTV image and the papers are from New Baby by Docrafts which I thought went well with this card.  I used my wonderful die from La La Land  which I love the bow was done with a tattered lace Chantilly lace bow the resin flowers are from stash as are the leaves.

The sketch was provided for the challenge

am off to do a bit more blog hopping so see you later

Gable end box and crackers

Morning all

If this goes well it should post on Monday Morning at around 10.00.  Not much is happening around here at the moment the guys should have been here today to start the bathroom but they are running late on another job and won't be here now until tomorrow.  Toby is going in to have his little bits chopped off as we don't want him to father any baby Purdy Cats so Sorry Toby.

I finished the box off that I started to make at Rachel's images and card are printed from Christmas Barclay CD from Crafters companion.

Front of Box

Back of Box

Crackers made with Tonic Studio Die and printed card

Inside of box with crackers made so far this box will easily hold six crackers so have three more to make, I have put the bit that goes bang in it but no presents as they would not fit need to find something smaller but as these are my first batch will keep them for us to have at the dinner table on Christmas Day.

Sorry about the awful quality of the pictures but it is so dark here today that I had to turn the light on and it's not a good light really need to get myself a daylight Bulb for the overhead light.

I will be by blog hopping everyday via my ipad but for the next week not sure if I will be able to get to my craft area so scheduled posts only.

Papertake Challenge number 84

Evening everybody

It is pouring with rain here and has been on and off all day trying to get washing dry is terrible thank god for tumble dryers.  I know I said I was not going to be able to blog for a couple of days but I wanted to get this card done for the Papertake Challenge and it has to be in before Tuesday so thought I better pop along and do it now before all the work starts next week on the bathroom.

Poor Bella and Toby were very frightened last night by the fireworks wish the shops did not sell them and the only way to watch was to go to a firework display as boys in the village were setting bangers off last night not fair on the pets.

My card tonight is a Dr Digi Image he looks a bit like Alan if he had a beard it would be Alan to a tee lol.  Poor man we do make fun of him and he just sits and takes it all and tells us that revenge is very sweet.

Here is sketch 84

And here is my take on it

I need to go and help sort dinner out as timings are not Alan's thing and as we are having a lamb roast think I best supervise.

I have scheduled a post for tomorrow morning but may try and get back in my craft room to finish some cards off and also enter a few more challenges if I can.

Will blog hop again after dinner.

Love to all
