Sorry have been AWOL

Hi All

Just a quick post no card today but wanted to say sorry for being AWOL this week having a really bad flare up with my fibromyalgia for those of you who don't know what this is here are the symptoms

Top Ten Fibromyalgia Symptoms
  • Pain all over
  • Fatigue - Exhaustion can be one of the most incapacitating fibromyalgia symptoms. You may feel as though your arms and legs are weighted down by concrete blocks and your body may be so drained of energy that every task requires great effort.
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Brain fog  - Trouble concentrating, retaining new information, and word-finding are common fibromyalgia symptoms that seriously interfere with daily functioning
  • Morning stiffness
  • Muscle knots, cramping, weakness
  • Digestive disorders - Constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, gas and bloating, irritable bowel, and nausea
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Balance problems
  • Itchy/burning skin
As you can see it is a nasty thing to have and there is no cure although some of the symptoms can be alleviated by medication but then you need other drugs to keep the side effects to a minimum.

I am finding it difficult to concentrate at anything at the moment am off to bed again shortly but wanted to let you know I am still alive and kicking and will catch up with everyone when I am feeling a bit better.

Birthday card for Elderly Neighbour

Evening all

Late post for me as I am still suffering with my Fibromyalgia which has hit me with Chronic Fatigue and brain loss, I have just had to contact someone to tell them we have a meeting tomorrow night for the Village Hall Committee and I forgot my telephone number how stupid is that.  I have been asleep most of the afternoon and am still really tired and ache all over.

Am resting as much as I can and thank god Sarah and Alan are home so they have been sorting everything out, doing the cooking and cleaning etc.

I did manage to make a card for my elderly neighbour who is 89 this week made a very simple card and came across a blog which gives freebies out www.birdscards.blogspot.com she has some really good stuff on here.

I coloured this in using my prismacolor pencils added some red card stock and red ribbon and a wee sentiment computer generated and hey ho a card was born.  I still have to put the insert in and then all done.

Well am off to bed again now just wanted to post this today and will catch up with everyone on my ipad when I get settled.

Love to all

Commissioned Card

Afternoon All

Hope you are all having a wonderful long bank holiday weekend.  Mine has had a few ups and downs I could not go crafting with Rachel yesterday as my fibromyalgia hit me big time late on Friday afternoon which I why I have had no cards to show.  Sarah bless her went to the shop for me with a list as long as her arm as we had run the freezer down wanting to clean it out before refilling so off she went and £183.00 later the freezer is still not full but we have made a start.  She then came home and sorted dinner out for us all.  She is such a good girl (woman) 35 years old but still my baby.

Then today Alan and Sarah set to and cleaned the bungalow right through, even cleaning the windows and Sarah sorted the washing, they then went out to the garden and did some weeding and believe me it needed it.  Alan took Bella out for a run and Sarah prepared the veg for dinner tonight.  Think we are having a chicken roast am not sure as I am not allowed anywhere near the kitchen.

So I thought I would sit and make a card as my neighbour has asked me to make a birthday card for her great grandson Connor who is 12 whilst we are away on holiday, so this is what I came up with.  I used a LOTV pre coloured image and an old Sketch Saturday layout, I have just noticed I spelt his name wrong so will have to change that lol.

I have some more cards that I need to make but will do them over the next week or so.  I need to sort out a birthday card for my neighbour who will be 89 on Friday bless her.  I was talking to her earlier on today and she said her granddaughters partner Tim charges her £10.00 when he takes flowers to the church for her brothers grave and also if he walks into the village to get her pension or goes to Tesco's for her which I think is disgusting and have told her that one of us will go for her in future not to ask Tim again.  So Alan and Sarah cut her rose bush back and did a bit of tidying around the back for her we don't have gardens as such will take a photo and show you what I mean

As you can see we don't have a lot of garden more a wall with some soil in it.  We do have a small courtyard garden before the wall but our flowers are raised so that we don't have to bend down to weed or anything.

The above photos are of my little area which is what Alan and Sarah weeded today.

Well am off to try and sort out a birthday card for Phyl so will catch you all later.

Friday Sketch Challenge #50

Evening All

A bit later posting than usual today, have been shopping online for clothes for our holiday a few bits and bobs turned up today but the bulk of it should arrive in a couple of days hopefully.

today's card is for the Friday Sketch Challenge #50

I decided to make a Christmas card as I have an order on for 5 of them so thought I would crack on, the image is a Mo Manning one which was already coloured but I added some sparkle to the coats, not sure if you can see it on the picture.  Memory Box snowflake border and some pearls from stash, paper is from First Edition Silent Night which I think is very yummy it took me ages to pluck up the courage to cut this down to fit my card so pretty don't want to use it, lol.

Well am off to do a bit of blog hopping now

Anniversary Card

Hi All

Today's card is one I have made for a member of Docrafts who put a call out asking for an Anniversary card for her and her hubby so I said I would make one and this is what I have come up with.  The image is from Canstock (here) and I blinged it up a little with some gems and glitter, backed the image with red mirri card and a little bow at the bottom.

I have a couple of cards on commission to make loads of time as they are Christmas one's but want to get them out of the way, I also have a birthday card to make for an 88 year old think it may be flowers of some description will have to see what I can come up with.

I have a skirt that needs taking in and it is a bit beyond my talents so will have to find a dressmaker in the area need it for going on holiday.   I have lost my confidence in doing things like this since being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia as I used to make mine and the girls clothes right down to pleated skirts for school and shirts etc but I don't trust the way my brain works anymore.

Will catch up blogging later today.

Lots of love

Lovely afternoon yesterday

Hi All

I am sorry for all the messing about I am causing changing my blog but it needed to be done.  So thank you to everyone who has re-followed me, I really appreciate it.

Alan has been to the tip today to get rid of all the old wardrobe and chest of drawers so pleased it is now out of the way.

I managed to get to Rachel's yesterday afternoon for a bit of crafting its ages since we last saw each other and amongst catching up we both made a card.

I used another printed image from the CD which came with the Crafters Companion Inspiration Magazine there are lots of lovely toppers and papers on this CD so will be used frequently if only for the papers.

This second card is one I made on Friday night and forgot to post it.  I was going to put it into a challenge but being the numpty that I am I was once again too late will try to do better I promise.

I am off to do a bit of blog hopping to catch up with all your lovely creations so bye for now

New Blog

Hi All

This is just to say that after having a lot of trouble with my old blog that I have decided to create a new one.

As from Monday I will be closing my old blog page down that gives me a little time to sort this one out and put my pictures and everything back on here.

I have made a couple of cards to show you from the Hunkydory range and thought you might like to see them.

This card a 6 x 6 and the sentiment was generated on the computer and the top layer of the backing is a beautiful embossed card which I bought from Just Tracy's last week thought it would go well with this card.

This second card is using the card stock that came with the toppers just added a sentiment think it makes a lovely male card

Am off to do a bit of blog hopping and to try and sort my new blog out.
