What a horrid day

What happened to all that sunny gorgeous weather we have had, today is dismal.  Alan and I were going to go out for the day but have decided to stay home instead, Alan is steam cleaning the bathroom.  I am going to finish all my commissioned goodies, ie, 10 Christmas Cards, 2 Birthday Cards, 3 Christmas Candles that is just one order I then have an order for 1 wedding candle and an anniversary card, another order for two birthday cards an order for 1 8 x 8 birthday card  and another for a wedding candle and then last but not least a male card for a 103 year old busy or what my online shop is taking off big time.

I have been trying to learn the art of quilting and patchwork and have had some small successes and some not so good but it's all part of the learning process.

We are going away for a long weekend around the 5th September and am really looking forward to it, it's our yearly get together with friends from the Navy last year was Sicily this year South Wales who know's where next year.  We are also going to Hampshire for Alan's eldest brother's 50th Wedding Anniversary, camera at the ready.

I had a lovely time over with Rachel on Saturday and managed to get loads of cards made but have forgotten to take photo's of two of them as they were needed straight away but will take photo's of the rest of them and post them over the next couple of days.

Well what shall I show you today let me have a think ????????????????????????????

This is my first attempt at patchwork think it turned out quite well really, this is for Sarah's bedroom as she is decorating it in cream and red mostly cream with red accessories as her bedroom furniture is dark mahogany so this will work quite well with it.

I am just going to rinse the dye out of my hair and will be back to start commenting, I am trying to get back into doing my blog and commenting as from today will not go back to comment as I think I need to concentrate on going forward.

Sorry for the rambling.

Love to all Alison
