Do you like it

Evening all

Just a quick one wanted to say a huge big fat THANK YOU to Angie for my new look on my blog isn't it fantastic I just love what she has designed for me.

I have done a bit of tweaking and removed one button by mistake but as it was only a grab me button not too worried.

Had to make some of my pictures etc a bit smaller so that they were not covering the main page, it took me ages to figure out that I could shrink them lol.  Told you if I had a brain I would be severely dangerous.

Am off to do a bit more blogging to see your wonderful creations.

Lots of love to all

Thank You Everybody

Morning all

Want to say a huge thank you to everyone who checked my blog out last night, the offending party has been removed (was my counter).

I have decided that if I had a brain I would be very dangerous, honestly the things I do, caught my toe on the cable of the hoover and fell over, poor old Alan he had to try and get me up took ages as I am unable to kneel or even crouch down, in the end I shuffled on my bum to the settee and then with Alan's help managed to haul myself up onto the settee, wouldn't mind but I was not even hovering lol.

Something wonderful is going to be happening to my blog keep watching this space.

I have a couple of 40th wedding anniversary cards to make and one of them has to be contemporary (what the hell is that) I also have a christening card to show you today, I used an image from my Rachael Anne Miller Collection which I love using to make cards.  Ribbon and bling from stash.

Am off to do a bit of blog hopping

Bye for Now

Not Sure What's Happened

Hi All

I have slept in late again today, Alan phoned to make sure I was alright and it was 09.30 no wonder the day goes so fast.

Just went onto the crafty cardmaking blog where I entered my card in the post below this and it is not there so obviously I have been removed for not meeting their requirements but I really thought my card fit the criteria for Shabby Chic, obviously not, will wait and see perhaps their is a delay in putting the cards onto the site as it needs approval first.

I had a call from my cousin Jim last night asking if I could make two cards, one for his sister my cousin Val and one for his mate Ian's 60th Birthday, who is into St Helens Rugby League and thanks to Angie who has provided the backing paper and badge for this card I was able to produce the following card.

Val's card is from crafts u print which I bought quite a few years ago and have only used once for my nieces birthday, very fiddly but well worth the effort.

Will be back later to do some blog hopping but need to get my breakfast otherwise it will become lunch before I get anything to eat.

Love to all

Crafty Cardmakers #102 Shabby Chic

Hi all

Second post for me today, not much happened since this morning put all the inserts into cards that were sitting on my desk waiting to be finished off and now they are parcelled up ready for post tomorrow but I will have to go into Ivybridge as our post office has closed down so it is a 10mile round trip if we need to weigh parcels etc.

My card tonight is for a blog I have just discovered Crafty Cardmakers and they have a challenge called Shabby Chic and this is what I have come up with using the stamp that I won in Natalie's 200,000 blog candy and have also used some of the flowers she sent me as well.  Coloured the image with promarkers and fleximarkers used a doily from stash, papers were freebies a long time ago and I have never used them, post card is from Angie's.   Have used a wink of stella on the flowers and butterflies to add some sparkle.  This is way out of my comfort zone but really enjoyed making it.

Sorry about the picture my lighting is not good in my craft room I used my daylight lamp but obviously not caught all the card with it.  I might try again tomorrow and upload it again, if I can improve on the photo.

Bye for now

A Wet and Dismal Monday

Morning all

Yes I have just checked that it is morning still, the time just gets away with me first thing as it takes me ages to get myself moving (old aching joints) lol.

We had a fab day yesterday as we celebrated Sarah's birthday this weekend (Saturday) but as I was helping at the big breakfast we decided that yesterday would be the day to take Sarah out for lunch, and to take Bella onto the Moors very wet but had a brilliant time.

Did not make a card yesterday but I have one made up and one on the go so will showcase this commissioned card for a Plymouth Argyle Supporter who is going to be 60 this week and his daughter wanted to give him a special card.  Thanks to Angie's digi stuff which is where I got the papers and badge from.    Have just got to put the insert in and then I have finished and Sarah can take it into work to give to her friend.

Having a bit of a lazy day after the hectic weekend even though I sat down on Saturday when making the toast and then yesterday Alan did the driving I am shattered today I don't do early mornings very well these days it takes me ages to sort myself out but there are worse off people than me so I'll not continue on my moan otherwise I will be called Carole after my sister in law whose problems are way worse than anyone else's (Not) lol.

Am off to finish my card that is sitting on my desk waiting for me but at the moment have so many card ideas floating in my head that I must sort myself out unable to concentrate properly so will write my ideas down and then that way I won't forget what I want to do. lol.

Commissioned Anniversary Card

Evening all

Hope you are all ok and enjoying the weekend.  It's our daughter Sarah's birthday today I can't believe she is 36 where have the years gone.

We had the big breakfast in the Village Hall today and 137 breakfast's later am shattered and all's I did was sit and make toast for everybody, never even got to eat a breakfast (good for the figure lol).

For those of you who are interested and you're probably not,  I went to the Doctors on Thursday regarding my poor old feet and he is sending me to see a musculoskeletal podiatrist as he thinks I have arthritis in my left ankle with collapsed heel arch and bunion and in the right foot have bunion on both sides ie big toe and little toe along with collapsed heel arch hence the pain and as I would like to avoid any more ops for a little while after having two knee replacements in the past 18 months feels that this is the road to go down at least for now.  Lets hope so.

Hubby phoned me from work the other day and asked me to make a card for a colleague to give to his wife on their anniversary I was told that she loved red roses and this is what I have come up with, lots of die cuts on this used oval die, memory box large fern die, Marianne creatables and roses from stash.  Pearls around the oval and beads around the card to give it some bling and the sentiment was printed from the computer.

Sorry about the picture am not very good with a camera really need to get the lighting a bit better.

Am off to do a bit of blog hopping now.

Love to All
