Afternoon Everybody
Sorry its been so long since I posted yet again but have been really busy with family. It was my birthday yesterday so had a lovely day, Alan took me out for lunch and then Sarah came over after work with cake lol.
It is a sad month for me as I have had to give up a couple of my Design Team Spots, Polkadoodles Gem of a Craft Challenge and Allsorts Weekly Challenge Blog. Due to other commitments I was not able to keep up with the commenting and was finding it difficult so after much discussion and deliberation decided for my health and the teams it was best that I resigned.
I have made a card which I would like to showcase, I think I told you all that I was buying a Gelli Plate so have had a bit of a play think I need to keep watching YouTube demo's as I don't think I have it quite right yet but here is a card I came up with, used the Gelli Plate to create the background and stamped the flower. I really need more practice.
I am out this afternoon and early evening at Sarah's so will try and comment on everybody's blogs tonight when I get home.

So sorry to hear you are having a rough time of things, I had to quit some things to just to keep my sanity and I feel much better now, hope that helps for you too.

Fabulous background and love the beautiful Iris.I understand about you leaving the DTs I was in the same position when I left mine,but recently going stir crazy so rejoined one with no sponsors and just one card a month,hope you feel better with less stress

Your health must come before DT roles, crafting is supposed to relieve stress not cause it, and the upside is that you will be able to make the cards you like.

Sorry to hear that you have had to step down from some of your design teams, the commenting can be very time consuming, it is one of the reasons that I stepped down from all of mine.

Beautiful card Alison - I love the background .. can I ask wqhat type of ink you used?? I too got a gel plate recently (for Christmas) and haven't yet managed to create a background i'm happy to use on a card ... I've tried distress inks and distress oxides but I can't get a smooth finish howver much i brayer!
