Morning all
My craft fair was a big flop made a loss of £6.50, table was £10.00 sold a candle at 2.50 and a scented drawer sachet for 50p and a door hanger which was reduced to 50p as I had them last year on offer for £1.00 but they didn't sell.
Alan and I were chatting on our way home and he said I was aiming at the wrong market level that I needed to up my game and not do the school craft fairs but to up my game and go to actual craft fairs that the councils etc put on so I have found a site and put my name down cost £25.00 a year but they tell you where the action is and let people know about you through their site. So am waiting to hear now, but I have decided that although I love making cards I need to branch out into other papercrafts so am going to have a rethink and a brainstorm session with my crafty buddy Rachel.
I will still be making cards as there is no way I could give that up I love it too much but want to introduce things like note pads, writing sets, things like that so if anyone out their has any ideas everything would be welcome (clean of course).
I am going to try and personalise some candles by putting images of loved one's on them see how they go, starting with my granddaughter and her boyfriend. These would make perfect anniversary presents, Christening presents, Wedding presents wow the list is endless.
I do have a card to show you but Sarah went to a masquerade ball last night and took the camera with her so cannot take any pictures until she comes home, so will finish my blog tonight.
Bye for now
Love Alison xx
Welcome and thank you for joining me on my journey into card making and other crafty bits and bobs. If you drop by please leave a comment so I know that you called.

New Challenge over at Friday Sketch Challenge Blogspot - ~57
Morning all
It's time for another Wonderful Challenge over at Friday Sketch Challenge where the sketch #57 was designed by me. This fortnight we are sponsored by Flonze Craft
This is my card I used a Whimsy Stamp which I have had for a while and not used so thought she would be ideal for today's card. The papers are from my stash and I think from Silent Night not sure though. corner die is a memory box one and the sentiment was from Here.

Lazy Day yesterday
Morning all
Real lazy day yesterday did no crafting whatsoever, went to my coffee morning, came home had lunch, sat down to do some blogging, sorted my emails out, spoke to my big sister Trish (hello Trish) knows she checks my blog out. The 5 blinds I ordered for windows throughout the bungalow have arrived so guess what Alan will be doing this weekend.? Finishing the kitchen off 1/2 way through painting it so really need to get that done as I want to order the flooring. Thinking of having cushion flooring so that its a bit easier on the old feet and not so cold.
I am stuck indoors waiting for the electrician to come out and fit a new thermostat to our towel rail so I can have nice warm towels when I get out the shower, spoilt or what.
I have put a couple of pictures below of Toby and Bella in my chair, Toby is so cute when he is like this but when he runs rampaging through the house when your trying to sleep I want to skin him, bless. Today Toby had the great idea of being like an Andrex Puppy and unravelling the toilet paper from the roll, life must of been so boring without him, only one word to describe him really MONSTER.
Don't they look cute together
this is Toby wrapping himself up in Christmas paper wanting to help
Here are a couple of the angels I said I would make, am also going to try and get some more crackers in boxes made up think another two should do it. I have made 7 of these so far and aim to make another three as I don't want to be left with too many of them as nowhere to store, everything filled up with Sarah's stuff until she gets herself settled with somewhere to live.
Will be back a bit later to do a bit of blog hopping to see all your wonderful creations.

Wonderful Wonderful New
Morning all
OK I can share my really good news with you now, I am so excited am doing a happy jig around the chair, can't jig without support lol. I have been chosen over at Crafting for all Seasons as a member of their design team along with Annie my blogging buddy. We are not officially starting until January but what crafter can wait that long to make some cards with the gorgeous designs that come from our generous sponsors. Why not pop along and take part in the current challenge. You never know you could be picked as a winner and enjoy lots of fantastic prizes.
I had a lovely day in my craft room yesterday and made the following using lots of tissue paper and card, Rachel gave me the idea when I was checking her blog out so thought I would give it a go.
So I made the following, three candles with images printed onto tissue paper and then 3 milk boxes to hold the candles used Barkley Christmas CD and Makey Bakey Mice Christmas CD. These are going to be for my Craft Fair on Friday but not sure how much to charge for them, the candles were £3.00 each and then the 2 sheets of A4 card and ink mmm will have to think on this. Yes I know I said I would post angels today but got carried away making these little darlings instead. The only thing is I don't know how much to charge for them as people want something for nothing these days, especially with the economic climate being the way it is.
Did you know that my cards were highlighted here didn't know anything about it until Annie sent me an email and told me about it so wow am well chuffed.
Am off out shortly for the Wednesday Morning Coffee Stop which is over in the community rooms here in Cornwood looking forward to seeing everyone as otherwise don't see a soul unless I go out to the shops.
Well that's it from me for now, need to get myself a shower and sort myself out before 10.30 will be back blog hopping to see your wonderful creations.

Flaming Computers
Hi All
Don't know whether to say good morning or good evening, I am sitting in my little craft area with my main computer doing a system restore hoping to resolve the issue of my DVD/CD drive not working and also trying to download my printer onto Sarah's laptop so I can print from my crafters companion cd's as I wanted to do some printing onto tissue paper and get some Christmas candles made up. It is now 30 minutes past midnight and I think I'm going to bed and letting everything run overnight. Will be back in the morning nite nite. Xx
Morning Everybody
Well had a better night's sleep without Toby in our bedroom last night thank goodness, he slept with Sarah and did not disturb her at all or so she says.
My computer is sort of behaving itself this morning or at least I can read a CD on it and open the files but I think I might buy an external DVD/CD drive as a back up.
My card today is
I wanted to make a card that was suitable for a male for Christmas and came up with this cute little bunny. Crafters Companion CD think the image was off the Makey Bakey Mice Christmas CD.
I am going to try and make some little Christmas decorations today will showcase them tomorrow and also share some fantastic news with you all. I hope you will not be offended but I have listed some items for sale if anyone is interested but if nobody on here wants them then I will put them on ebay.
1 x Punch and Stamp Set by Tonic Studio (pick of the bunch) Clematis/lily/poinsettia
1 x Punch and Stamp Set by Tonic Studio (pick of the bunch) Rose/Pansy/Camellia/Gardenia
1 x Punch and Stamp Set by Tonic Studio (pick of the bunch) Carnation/Sweet William/Peony
I bought these for £24.99 each plus postage and am selling them for £15.00 each plus postage if anyone is interested they have been used once. They are still in original boxes and excellent condition.
I also have a sure cuts a lot CD version 1 if anyone is interested just let me know and all I want is postage.
My elderly neighbour is having her bathroom turned into a wet room this week so I will be looking after her and the workmen until it has finished. She is such a sweet old lady and I try to help her as much as I can but she does have family who live in the village but they take advantage of her as I have mentioned in previous posts.
I am off to have a shower and to get dressed before the workmen turn up as I will be making them all a cuppa and I am not a pretty sight until I have put my war paint on.

Long Night
Morning all
Toby was up to his usual antics last night, feel sorry for poor Bella as he jumps all over her wanting to play but at 2am in the morning it's the last thing we need as Bella sleeps at the side of our bed. Think he finally settled down around 3am poor old Alan has to get up at 5.30 so he didn't get much sleep either. I had a lie in until 9.
My card today is another Christmas Card for the Craft Fair I am doing on Friday at a School in Ivybridge, Devon I now have around 65 Christmas Cards made and any I don't sell will be sent out to family and friends.
I am not entering this card into any challenges just made it out of scraps of card I had lying around.
I am off just now to have a shower and get dressed before Sarah gets home as she has just rang me to say she is in Bristol which is around 1.5 - 2 hours away from here, and I have spent some of that time hovering and getting the washing sorted and of course playing with card and sticky bits and bobs.

Commissioned Baby Card
Afternoon All
Alan and my brother Bill have taken Bella out up on the moors so I am having a quiet five minutes to myself and thought I would do a quick blog. Firstly let me give a warm welcome to Ally my new follower.
Had a awful night last night Toby the little darling was going a bit crazy me thinks, climbed onto the windowsill in the bedroom and was jumping up the wall and playing with a picture we have hanging there, he then proceeded to jump over Bella wanting to play, knocked over a vase with flowers luckily he did not break it (this is the third replacement since we had him in July). He then started using my new bed as a scratch post and then when I chased him off he proceeded to meow at the top of his vocal cords. Will be glad when he has mastered the art of going through the cat flap at the moment instead of using his head to push his way through he is trying to use his paws, our little ginger nut is a bit thick. He has damaged so much two blinds, two vases, one very expensive candle holder of cut crystal, chews the heads of any fresh flowers that I buy, its a good job we love him otherwise he would be finding his bags packed for him.
Alan has asked me to make a card for his colleagues at work to sign for one of the blokes whose wife has just had a baby girl and this is what I have come up with
I have had a reply from Crafty Sentiments to say I was not successful with them. Not sure about Crafting for all Seasons still waiting to hear from them. I have applied to a couple of others but will wait and see.
Alan and I nipped down to the Carphone Warehouse today as he was having trouble with his new phone, all sorted very quickly which was good, but whilst there I noticed in the corner a Next Home Shop well had to have a look see and god I am in love with some of their fantastic stuff and have just priced up some new blinds to replace the ones Toby has wrecked and for two they work out at around £150.00 so will be ordering them next week.
