Good News

Sarah had an interview on Friday for a job which she has been temping in now for nearly two years and she was short-listed along with one other, but thank goodness Sarah got the job, Yippeee only trouble is the money she was going to use to get a flat she had to buy a car with so now she is having to save up all over again, so she will be living with us for a few months yet.

I have been asked if I would like to display my candles in a crafty shop which is highlighting local people's craft so have said yes please so am off to do that in a moment plus go and post Wendy's goodies that she won as I did not get around to it yesterday as Alan was home, he took time out bless him to do all the jobs I am no longer able to do.  Cleaned windows and washed all the frame work, washed all the skirting boards in every room and then pulled furniture out to clean behind and under in all the rooms, gave the oven a really good clean and all the cupboards in the kitchen and then scrubbed down the bathroom so everywhere is looking lovely and clean.

Here is the last of my commissioned cards for a little boy who loves rugby and is going to be 12 at the end of this month

the image is a LOTV stamp and coloured in with spectrum noir pens still not got to grips with hair but getting there slowly with my colouring.

Well am off to finish tidying my craft room, will be back later to do a bit of blog hopping so
bye for now

Sunny Day

Morning all, lovely sunny day here on Dartmoor, might be able to get some washing done.  I am up early as I have to phone the doctors to try and get an appointment as my feet are very swollen and looking bruised and have been for a couple of days. but hey ho life goes on.

Sarah has her interview for the job she has been temping in for the past 2 years at 11.00 today think I am more nervous than she is.  Thankfully she will find out today if she is successful or not, only one other person applied for this as they only advertised it internally, so fingers crossed.

I have made a cascade card as part of the commissioned set of cards that I was asked to make, only one more and I will be making that one today as my LOTV stamp arrived in the post yesterday.

Am off to get my breakfast before I do a bit of housework and then have to be in Ivybridge for 11.00 as I am meeting a friend for coffee at the Garden Centre, will do some blog catching up this afternoon.

Lots of love

Today is the day t

I had a busy day yesterday, coffee stop in the morning, afternoon, came home and designed some posters for the big breakfast we hold twice a year in the village and people come from miles away for a Full English Breakfast with tea/coffee and toast all thrown in for around £5.00, I am not involved in this one apart from the posters as I resigned from the Village Committee.

I waited for a delivery in the afternoon of more pillar wax which I ordered on Tuesday and it arrived around 3pm how's that for service.  I then made some container candles in Nag Champa, Vanilla and Love Spell perfumes and then sorted dinner out, filled the dishwasher and then decided to make some more pillar candles I now have 93 Container Candles and approx 60 Pillar Candles but will make some more pillar one's today, plus some candles for around the house as I finished the last one today, usually have one in our bedroom and two in the living room and one in the bathroom.

I started a a card yesterday and finished it off this morning this is part of the commissioned cards only two more to make after this one, but am awaiting a stamp which I ordered from LOTV which has not arrived yet which is very unusual.  If not in today's post will contact them to see what is happening.

I just loved making this card it is so unusual, the image is from Saturated Canary some of the flowers are from the ribbon girl and the others are from petal lu.

Don't forget that I am closing my blog candy at 6pm tonight and will announce the winner shortly afterwards of if you wish to join in and grab some candy you need to go Here, am off to do some blog hopping just now and start then next of the commissioned cards.

Lots of love

Just a quick one this morning

Want to say thank you to all my followers who have continued to follow me especially after all the hassle I have given you by changing the name of my blog, and also a warm welcome to all my new followers.

Well at long last Sarah now has her new car a Vauxhaul  Vectra, obviously not brand new but newer than the one she has just scrapped as that was a 91 reg, so it's not done too bad.  I have finally done it, got around to making a pop up box card that folds flat or at least should lol.  This is for Jessica's birthday and I used a lot of acetate as I wanted it to look like the butterflies were floating/flying not sure if I have achieved the look or not yet but for a first attempt not too bad, but improvements could be made.

I am at the coffee stop this morning and its my turn to do the tea's and coffee's so I must not be late.  Also need to take with me some of the commissioned cards I have made.

So here is my box card, do hope you like it

Right am off to put inserts into three of the cards I have made and I will be back later after coffee stop to catch up with you all.

Lots of Love

Naughty Toby

Oh dear, Toby has discovered the art of catching birds he brought one home this morning and I managed to take it off him still alive so I put it in a box and put it on the top of the little greenhouse we have in the garden thinking Toby could not get up there BIG MISTAKE he got it again and brought it home squeaking so after a rather ugly tussle with Toby growling and scratching I managed to get the birdy back off him, the bird is now in the bathroom with the door shut so Toby cannot get him again and is chirping away, gave it some food and water so hopefully if it lives I can let it go later on.  Trouble is every time the bird chirps Bella barks lol.

I am sorry I did not catch up with you all yesterday as I wanted to but I am Secretary to the Cornwood Show and I had a lot of paperwork and show bookings to sort out and it took me all day, and then when Sarah came home we went shopping and I spent £170.00 on food which will probably only last two weeks.

I have another card to showcase today which is one of the commissioned cards this one is for a man who is nutty about trains, so obviously I had to use Mo Manning's The Engineer Digi Stamp which I coloured in when over at Rachel's on Saturday and then put the card together at home.  only 3 more commissioned cards to make and then I can start making my granddaughter Jessica' card she will be 18 on the 13th of this month, where does the time go.

Anyway enough with the waffle here is my card and I think my colouring is getting better as I have managed to get some shading in by following the original image on Mo's site.

I am just popping down the post box taking Bella with me and then I will come back and do some blog hopping and catch up with all your lovely creations.

Don't forget I have blog candy on offer Here

Love Alison xx
