Morning all

Hi Everybody

Hope you are all well, hugs to those that need them. It's Friday yippee that means hopefully Rachel and I will be crafting tomorrow afternoon, can't wait.   It's also my birthday on Sunday not sure yet what is happening, probably be going out for a meal.  I would like a new sewing machine but don't think finances will run to that so might just ask for some vouchers for hobby-craft or something like that.

I have lots of projects on the go and seriously need to get to grips with everything and try to finish one thing before starting another, have about 6 sewing projects on the go, commissioned party invitations, commissioned candles, and need to make candles for the next craft fair that comes up, also our youngest Granddaughter Jessica will be 18 in April and she has asked if she can have a sweet table and wants me to do the labels in black and pink.  I also need to make some more soap one more batch and then I will have 24 soaps in all the fragrances that I am allowed to sell, unless I want to pay for more to be added to my safety assessment.  I also have 24 ready to be boxed so must make the boxes for them as well. so busy busy busy.

I have a couple of cards to show you today that have been commissioned I used bugaboo images which I love for the humour so glad the person that these are for has a good sense of humour.

First card is from me to Ray whose birthday will be on 7th March

This one is from his wife Sheila

This is a sample to send out for approval before making the full size candles
I have used for the first time water-slide decal papers, must say I am really impressed with this stuff much better than tissue paper

I have to pop into Ivybridge shortly as I need to go the post office to post this little candle and also one of my spiral candles and some soap, I also want to buy some more dress making scissors as mine are so blunt.

Will catch up with everybody a bit later when I get back from Ivybridge.

Love to all

Morning all

Morning everybody

Well the sun is shining again but it's cold out there and I have to go out so a trouser day me thinks.  I have been commissioned to make 40 invitations to a 40th Birthday Party around the theme of Midsummer Night's Dream, I have made two sample cards for her to choose from, she really wanted something without fairies but a Midsummer Night's Dream includes guess what fairies, but a light has just gone on in the brain and have thought of something else I could do, if it works will have a go and will come back to you.

Here are the first two cards

Back in a bit with the card I am going to make just now see you soon

I'm back and here is what the light in the brain produced, don't often have this sort of moment anymore the old brain is in a permanently confused state lol.

Am off to have my breakfast, shower and get dressed so that I can pop these along for approval

I'm so dangerous I should be locked up

Morning everybody

The sun is shining yet again today, not sure how long it's going to last but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

I did something very stupid and very dangerous yesterday, as most of you on here know me you know that I suffer badly with Fibromyalgia and one of the symptoms of this is very poor memory and concentration so I have to do things when the old brain let me without the fibro-fog, well yesterday was one of the days I should have listened to my body but didn't tired to carry on as if nothing was wrong well.............

I decided I was going to make my boxes for my soap easy not much to do print off the writing and put through the cameo that went ok, I then decided I was going to do some blogging ok not too strenuous or dangerous, Alan took the dog out and I though mmmm I'll make a couple of container candles, started to melt the wax and thought oh ill just finish putting those last few soaps into the boxes, then emails's came through so started reading them, then next thing I knew the smoke alarms were going off like crazy, I hobbled into the kitchen and the pan was on fire.

By this time Alan had walked through the door along with Bella and took over wet a tea towel and placed it gently over the pan this then doused the flames but my god the smell it is still with us this morning even though we have had the windows open all night. So my lesson today is never leave a pan with oil in it on the hot stove to melt on its own always stay with it.  When I think of the consequences of what I did I feel sick to my stomach.  I have never ever done anything like this before but guess what wake up call cos will never do it again either.  It frightened me that I had forgotten something so important.  What would have happened if I had gone out, I would have lost everything in the home including Bella and this made me cry.  I am starting to lose my marbles with this stupid syndrome as my memory is completely shot but this time it wasn't something silly like keys in freezer etc it was something really dangerous and life threatening.

Enough

Well I promised you yesterday that I would show you a little project I have been working on and here it is

Also before trying to set the kitchen alight made this

and these

Well I need to do wait for it that dreaded word, a little bit of housework before I start stopping by everybody's blog so will catch up with you all later.

Is Spring on it's way yet

Morning all

Had a resting day yesterday as my vertigo kept me bouncing off walls, who needs alcohol.  I have had this card made for a little while but thought I would hold onto it until I had not been crafting so that I would have something to share with you.

I am working on a wee project and will show that off to you tomorrow when I have finished it, so cute and it's not a card or candle lol.

This card is to welcome spring which I hope will happen soon it is a bit lighter of a morning and evening now thank goodness I hate the winter.

Think the stamp is a LOTV one that I bought a little while ago and have coloured this in with water pencils for a change as it makes the card a little softer.  Those mice are so cute.

Well am off to have my dinner Alan and Sarah have made Lasagna with Garlic Bread as Alan is not over keen on roast dinners and I don't mind as I am not doing the cooking lol.

Love to All

Morning All

Hello everybody

Well if this works this post is scheduled as I am not feeling too good, really bad vertigo and backache woe is me.  Enough she says get on with your blogging.

Sarah and Alan made home-made mushroom soup today it was yummy, especially as someone else cooked for a change.  Well the Armed Forces magazine arrived yesterday in the post and my advert was on the second page, when I can stand will post it on here so pleased with it.

I have 60 bars of soap waiting to be boxed and have not even started making the boxes yet will have to get cracking along with doing some DT work that is.

I have a card and candle to show you today hope you like them.  The candle is from my new mold which turned up on Friday and as I had a little bit of died red wax left added it to the pot and this came out pink I have called it my cupcake candle as that is what it looks like

and then had the thought if this looks like a cupcake perhaps I could put a wrapper around it, and so I made this on my cameo not too bad although it took a couple of attempts need a new blade, have one somewhere will have to look when upright again.

and so onto my card

I bought this stamp a couple of weeks ago and used it to make an anniversary card which I forgot to take a photo of but thought I would use it again and make a real girly card.

That's all for now will be by looking at all your wonderful creations shortly.

Morning All

Good Morning and Hello to all

Just a quick update on Bella and my doctors appointment.   Bella had bloods taken on Monday and they have come back negative so not sure why she keeps getting upset stomachs but it seems every couple of months she is poorly the poor vet is shaking her head with confusion lol.

My appointment with the Dr was certainly a waste of time, the podiatrist I saw at the hospital last week asked me to go to my docs to get my pain medication increased as it was not even making a dent in the pain in my back and legs.  But he refused said I was taking enough and needed to cope on that.  So walked out in disgust, am certainly thinking of changing surgeries.

Enough moaning.  I am scheduling this post as I will be out first thing helping a friend set up her computer and teaching her how to do the basics.

My card today is one I have had on my desk for a DT Spot that is now no longer needed so would like to showcase today, have had this stamp for don't know how long think I bought it in Taunton late last year, it is an Indigo Blu stamp and goes by the name of Juliet, isn't she gorgeous.

Well I have managed to stay on top of my blogging this week thank goodness but I have more candles and soap to make over the next few days so please be patient with me if I don't get to you within the next few days.

bye for now

Morning All

Good Morning

How is everyone hope you are all well and that those with colds/flu and anything else are all starting to feel better.

The card I made today was part of an order and I really enjoyed making this card, I wanted to try different colours to the one's I normally use and think this card turned out beautifully.

I would also like to show you one of my new range in candles which I have already had a couple of orders for

Both of these are on the desk next to me in my craft room and the whole place smells deliciously of Vanilla yummy.

Think I have caught up with everyone in blog land and if I have missed you please accept my apologies not intended.

I have just received an order for some party invitations and the theme is Midsummer Night's Dream so if anyone has got any ideas they will be gratefully received the spec also said no fairies, mmmmm will have to think about this one.
