Just a quick one this morning

Want to say thank you to all my followers who have continued to follow me especially after all the hassle I have given you by changing the name of my blog, and also a warm welcome to all my new followers.

Well at long last Sarah now has her new car a Vauxhaul  Vectra, obviously not brand new but newer than the one she has just scrapped as that was a 91 reg, so it's not done too bad.  I have finally done it, got around to making a pop up box card that folds flat or at least should lol.  This is for Jessica's birthday and I used a lot of acetate as I wanted it to look like the butterflies were floating/flying not sure if I have achieved the look or not yet but for a first attempt not too bad, but improvements could be made.

I am at the coffee stop this morning and its my turn to do the tea's and coffee's so I must not be late.  Also need to take with me some of the commissioned cards I have made.

So here is my box card, do hope you like it

Right am off to put inserts into three of the cards I have made and I will be back later after coffee stop to catch up with you all.

Lots of Love

Naughty Toby

Oh dear, Toby has discovered the art of catching birds he brought one home this morning and I managed to take it off him still alive so I put it in a box and put it on the top of the little greenhouse we have in the garden thinking Toby could not get up there BIG MISTAKE he got it again and brought it home squeaking so after a rather ugly tussle with Toby growling and scratching I managed to get the birdy back off him, the bird is now in the bathroom with the door shut so Toby cannot get him again and is chirping away, gave it some food and water so hopefully if it lives I can let it go later on.  Trouble is every time the bird chirps Bella barks lol.

I am sorry I did not catch up with you all yesterday as I wanted to but I am Secretary to the Cornwood Show and I had a lot of paperwork and show bookings to sort out and it took me all day, and then when Sarah came home we went shopping and I spent £170.00 on food which will probably only last two weeks.

I have another card to showcase today which is one of the commissioned cards this one is for a man who is nutty about trains, so obviously I had to use Mo Manning's The Engineer Digi Stamp which I coloured in when over at Rachel's on Saturday and then put the card together at home.  only 3 more commissioned cards to make and then I can start making my granddaughter Jessica' card she will be 18 on the 13th of this month, where does the time go.

Anyway enough with the waffle here is my card and I think my colouring is getting better as I have managed to get some shading in by following the original image on Mo's site.

I am just popping down the post box taking Bella with me and then I will come back and do some blog hopping and catch up with all your lovely creations.

Don't forget I have blog candy on offer Here

Morning Everybody

It is a dark wet dismal day here on Dartmoor, but as I have no car at the moment as Alan is using it whilst Sarah borrows his that means I can spend the day crafting yippee.  Want to give a warm welcome to my new followers, hope my little blog gives you some inspiration.

Does anyone know how I can let all my followers know that I have changed my blog address I tried to Google but got confused trying to follow the various instructions.  Help Please.

I managed to make more candles yesterday around 13 of them but need to order more pillar candle wax as I am running out.  The perfume used yesterday was Vanilla.

I also finished a card off that I started at Rachel's on Saturday and placed an order with LOTV for a stamp for a boy who is going to be 12, one of the commissioned cards I spoke about.

Sarah managed to find a fairly decent second hand car yesterday and will be picking it up from the garage on Tuesday as he is getting an MOT on it and taxing it for six months for her, so all she really needs to do is change her insurance, thank goodness then I can have my independence back.

So without more ado here is the card I finished off yesterday for the lady who is going to be 100 sometime this month I think.

I used more of the Hunky Dory stash that I have hidden away under my desk and decided I really must use it as it is so pretty the card is decoupaged and I kept it fairly simple just added a doily die cut and the Happy 100th Birthday.  I am thinking of spraying with iridescent glitter from Crafters Companion but not decided yet.

Right off to have breakfast, quick tidy up then will do some blogging to catch up with everybody and then make a another commissioned card want to try and get all these done for Wednesday morning as that is when I will meet everybody who ordered a card from me.

Bye for now

Afternoon All

Well the weekend is nearly over, how quick did that go, I had a lovely time over at Rachel's yesterday but left slightly earlier than usual as my fibromyalgia was grabbing hold, managed to get home ok but was in bed for 7.30 last night and slept right though until around 8.30 this morning.

I managed to make two cards yesterday as part of this commission I have on at the moment, anniversary card not sure how long the couple have been married but this is what I came up with using  Hunky Dory stuff that I have had in for ages and stored under the desk thought it time to get it out.

I just love this card is so pretty with the acetate holding the front of the card image.  This idea came from one of the CD's inside the new Crafters Companion Magazine.

Well I am in the middle of blogging your wonderful site's but blogger is playing up so thought I would do a quick post whilst blogger sorts itself out. lol.

On a good note, Sarah has bought a new-ish car today and it will be ready for her to pick up from the garage on Tuesday that means I will be able to get out and about again, thank goodness I hate being stuck at home with no transport, the only bus is into Plymouth Town Centre, costs nearly £8.00 return and is only every two and two and half hours and takes over an hour to get into town which is no good for me all that jigging about.

Well am off to complete my blogging catch up with you all again in the morning.

Morning All

Well it's the weekend again, where does the time go?  I hope to be going to Rachel's this afternoon to have a play day lots of cards I need to make 1 Anniversary card, 4 Birthday Cards and 1 more 100th Birthday card have an idea for this but will have to think on it.

Sarah phoned me from work last night, her colleague who is temping the same as Sarah but in a different department had her interview and found out she got the job so Sarah asked me to make her a card to say congratulations and this is what I came up with and made within 1 hour as they were going out tonight to celebrate.

Obviously had to use a Bugaboo image these are fantastic for all kinds of occasions and this one just fit the bill.

Sarah handed her application in for her job today and if she gets shortlisted interviews are next Friday and she will be told the same day if she is successful but she has been assured by the Executive Director no less that her job is safe, but as he is not on the interview panel then how he can say that I don't know, she has been in the job nearly two years now waiting for it to go permanent.

Well I am off now to get ready to go out and do some shopping and then hopefully over to Rachel's depending on how I feel after the shops.

DON'T FORGET MY CANDY GIVEAWAY Here
Will be back later to do a blog hop.

A Fibromyalgia day today

I am struggling today, around 4.30pm last night was talking to hubby on the phone as he was going to the shop on his way home as at the moment I have no car, Sarah's car died on her on the way to work on Wednesday the head gasket has gone, and so she is using Alan's car and Alan is using mine as he is on my insurance.  So I am stuck in the village unless I want to get the bus which takes nearly 2 hours to go to town, and as I am feeling crappy I would not be driving anyway.      I digress sorry, was talking to Alan last night and the fibromyalgia hit me like a freight train, body drained of all energy, could not get words out, could not remember what we needed from the shop and the next thing I knew Alan rushed through the door in a panic apparently I fell asleep whilst mid sentence with my head on the computer, so you can understand why he dashed home, I went to bed and slept most of the night away have woken this morning very tired, slight vertigo and sick feeling so it's a quiet day for me today as I would love to go crafting with Rachel tomorrow.

Anyway enough waffle as I told you in a previous post I have about 12 commissioned cards to make two of them are for the same person so I have to be careful not to use anything similar as it is two different people who have commissioned these cards.  The lady who the cards are for is going to be 100 at the end of April, Wow don't think I'll get to that ripe old age.  So without further ado here is the first of the cards

This is my first ever attempt at doing one of these vintage cards, but I fell in love with this image and just had to use it.

Well enough waffle from me this morning need to get my act together, breakfast first me thinks, I am waiting for two deliveries today one from the soap kitchen which is my soap stuff and one from the candle shop which is more candle wax for my pillar candles as I have made 36 pillar candles so far and am going to need a lot more if I am doing craft fair's the trouble is we have a small bungalow with no storage space so lord knows where these are going to be stored until the shows start.   Think the first one is Easter Weekend will have to check as it is getting a bit close.

I also need to make some more cupcake wrappers for my cupcake candle and get those off my desk and stored and box the two batches of soap I have here but need to sort out the ingredients and then put them into Latin blood European legislation gets on my pip.

Don't forget my blog candy which you can find Here

Will be back after I have done everything I need to in the house
