Crafty Cardmakers #102 Shabby Chic

Hi all

Second post for me today, not much happened since this morning put all the inserts into cards that were sitting on my desk waiting to be finished off and now they are parcelled up ready for post tomorrow but I will have to go into Ivybridge as our post office has closed down so it is a 10mile round trip if we need to weigh parcels etc.

My card tonight is for a blog I have just discovered Crafty Cardmakers and they have a challenge called Shabby Chic and this is what I have come up with using the stamp that I won in Natalie's 200,000 blog candy and have also used some of the flowers she sent me as well.  Coloured the image with promarkers and fleximarkers used a doily from stash, papers were freebies a long time ago and I have never used them, post card is from Angie's.   Have used a wink of stella on the flowers and butterflies to add some sparkle.  This is way out of my comfort zone but really enjoyed making it.

Sorry about the picture my lighting is not good in my craft room I used my daylight lamp but obviously not caught all the card with it.  I might try again tomorrow and upload it again, if I can improve on the photo.

Bye for now

A Wet and Dismal Monday

Morning all

Yes I have just checked that it is morning still, the time just gets away with me first thing as it takes me ages to get myself moving (old aching joints) lol.

We had a fab day yesterday as we celebrated Sarah's birthday this weekend (Saturday) but as I was helping at the big breakfast we decided that yesterday would be the day to take Sarah out for lunch, and to take Bella onto the Moors very wet but had a brilliant time.

Did not make a card yesterday but I have one made up and one on the go so will showcase this commissioned card for a Plymouth Argyle Supporter who is going to be 60 this week and his daughter wanted to give him a special card.  Thanks to Angie's digi stuff which is where I got the papers and badge from.    Have just got to put the insert in and then I have finished and Sarah can take it into work to give to her friend.

Having a bit of a lazy day after the hectic weekend even though I sat down on Saturday when making the toast and then yesterday Alan did the driving I am shattered today I don't do early mornings very well these days it takes me ages to sort myself out but there are worse off people than me so I'll not continue on my moan otherwise I will be called Carole after my sister in law whose problems are way worse than anyone else's (Not) lol.

Am off to finish my card that is sitting on my desk waiting for me but at the moment have so many card ideas floating in my head that I must sort myself out unable to concentrate properly so will write my ideas down and then that way I won't forget what I want to do. lol.

Commissioned Anniversary Card

Evening all

Hope you are all ok and enjoying the weekend.  It's our daughter Sarah's birthday today I can't believe she is 36 where have the years gone.

We had the big breakfast in the Village Hall today and 137 breakfast's later am shattered and all's I did was sit and make toast for everybody, never even got to eat a breakfast (good for the figure lol).

For those of you who are interested and you're probably not,  I went to the Doctors on Thursday regarding my poor old feet and he is sending me to see a musculoskeletal podiatrist as he thinks I have arthritis in my left ankle with collapsed heel arch and bunion and in the right foot have bunion on both sides ie big toe and little toe along with collapsed heel arch hence the pain and as I would like to avoid any more ops for a little while after having two knee replacements in the past 18 months feels that this is the road to go down at least for now.  Lets hope so.

Hubby phoned me from work the other day and asked me to make a card for a colleague to give to his wife on their anniversary I was told that she loved red roses and this is what I have come up with, lots of die cuts on this used oval die, memory box large fern die, Marianne creatables and roses from stash.  Pearls around the oval and beads around the card to give it some bling and the sentiment was printed from the computer.

Sorry about the picture am not very good with a camera really need to get the lighting a bit better.

Am off to do a bit of blog hopping now.

Love to All

Afternoon all

Firstly I wanted to say thank you to everybody for your lovely comments on my cards it is really appreciated and I know that everybody is busy so Thank You, and I must say you are all so talented wish I had half the talent of you all.

Just realised the time after 12.00 noon and not had my breakfast yet lol.  Have a doctors appointment today at 5pm as I cannot get my shoes on, my ankle on my left foot and the sole of the foot plus bunion are giving me a lot of pain and my right foot the bunion and the bone just below the right toe is giving me gyp, so am off to try and get something sorted.  I have terrible trouble finding shoes to fit me as I am between a 4 1/2 and a 5 so the smaller size is slightly too tight and the larger size is too big so have to use granny shoes and I hate them I want shoes that shout Sexy.

I have had some goodies through the post, ordered from crafters companion some Christmas tree dies, snow village die and the Barkley everyday CD and my inspiration magazine and it has all turned up today yippeeeee!  I also ordered a Tim Holtz distressing tool from Crafts U Love and that also turned up today so am a happy bunny.

My cousin contacted me yesterday and asked me to make 6 Christmas Cards for her so I made a start and so far made four still to put inserts in but will do that later.  I also have an order for two Ruby Wedding Anniversary Cards and hubby rang this morning to say one of his colleagues would like an anniversary card made and his wife likes roses so have got to incorporate that into my card mmmmm what to do, have an idea but not sure yet if it will work will have to check it out.

So here are the cards that I have made so far for my Cousin Tracy.

Right am off to have my breakfast/lunch and will be back blog hopping later and to show you my next lot of creations, but if anyone has any idea where I can get a digi stamp of a rose please can you let me know.

Bye for now

Papertake Weekly Challenge two by two

Hi all

Just got back from my weekly coffee stop this is where a few of us from the local villages meet up every Wednesday for a cuppa and a chat for an hour, it was my turn this week to make the tea/coffee, we had a good old natter and a catch up about the Big Breakfast that is happening this weekend as I am on the village hall committee or am until next month as I have given notice that I am retiring we needed to sort out the time for setting up on Friday as we are cooking breakfast for 120 people at 4.50 a head quite cheap really. When I say we I mean we have a cook and her little helpers and I will be sitting at the toaster making toast as I can't stand for any great length of time without giving myself serious back and knee ache. lol.

My card today is for the Papertake weekly challenge two by two I have used a delightful image from LOTV which I love and my Marianne poinsettia die, papers are from first edition silent night ribbon and bling from stash.  Sentiment is also from LOTV.

I have just had an order in for six Christmas cards and two ruby wedding anniversary cards so will have to get on and get them sorted.  Hope everyone is well and if not big hugs to you.  Am going to have a trip over to the range later today as I need some card stock and also want to see what other goodies I can buy was thinking of having a trip to Hobbycraft but that can wait until Friday as Sarah has the day off work and we can spend some time together and I know she likes browsing Hobbycraft as she is into cross stitch.

Well that's it from me for now will be back a bit later to do some blog hopping to see everyone's beautiful creations.

Love
