Joanna Sheen Challenge (Buttons)

Afternoon all

Blimey how many posts in one day but wanted to get this card made and entered into the challenge over at Joanna Sheen where the challenge is buttons.  I used an image from the House Mouse Project Book Volume 2, these images are so cute. My Christmas tree is a Crafters Companion die, buttons and papers from stash.

I have also been invited as a Guest DT with the Joanna Sheen Team just waiting for them to contact me with the details whoooo wheeee, so excited to have been picked.

Am off in a mo to sort something out for dinner tonight think we have stuff made up in the freezer just need to defrost it in the microwave.

Wanted to show you this photo of Toby playing with the Balloon from Sarah's flowers which she had for her birthday, Bella looking on saying mum he's going to burst it and then we'll be for it lol

Sorry it's a bit blurry but he was moving this around so fast, he must of jumped up in the kitchen onto the draining board as that is where I left the balloon.  He is one little monster.

Am off to do a bit more blog hopping after I have sorted the dinner out.

Love to all

Design Team Call

Morning again

Wanted to tell you about a Design Team call over at Crafting for all Seasons, I have applied so am keeping my fingers crossed.  I have been card making since 2007 and when I look back over my cards I can see how much I have improved through the years and how my styles have changed as I have grown in confidence,  am on the Friday Sketch Challenge DT which I thoroughly enjoy.  I am now retired so have plenty of time for crafting and would love to be a DT for Crafting for all Seasons.

I have made another card today which has been commissioned for a Baby Girl's Christening.

I used a Sherri Baldy Bestie image, backing papers are from Forever Friends New Born, ribbon and bow from stash, as are the acrylic flowers and beads.  Coloured in using my Prismacolor Pencils as for some reason my spectrum noir pens have dried out, probably because I hardly ever use them now I have my pencils which I love.

My Second Card to showcase my designs for the DT Place is a Thank you card which I loved making, the image is from LOTV, butterfly die from Memory Box, backing papers are from Serif Craft Artist 2, flowers are from stash

My Third Card is an anniversary card which was commissioned and I was given the brief of she likes Red Roses so this is what I came up with using lots of different dies, roses from stash as are the beads around the card

Well have not only got fingers crossed but toes as well.

Back again soon

Bearly Mine Challenge

Second post for me today told you I got up early.  I have just put a wash on and hopefully the rain stays away long enough for me to get it out on the line or at least the bits and bobs that don't go into the dryer lol.

Am off to the coffee stop this morning to meet up with friends only time in the week that I actually see anyone unless I go to Rachel's on a Saturday, so it's nice to get out of the house.

The card I am posting now is for Bearly Mine Challenge and I liked the sketch so much had to use it so here is the sketch and my interpretation of it.

And here is my card used a digi that I have had since last year and never used but thought he looked so neglected that I had better wipe the dust off of him and use it.  The backing papers are from Bearly Mine and are called Christmas Dreams, used Marianne poinsettia die and the sentiment is one I bought in Exeter by Tonic Studio and came as part of the Christmas Cracker set.  Pearls and ribbon from stash.

Catch up with you all soon

Love Alison xx

Two challenges for me today

Morning all

Have been awake since 5.30 this morning which is when Alan got up for work, could not get back to sleep and eventually got out of bed at 7.30 and have spent the time since then planning Christmas cards.

My card today is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge and the challenge is Christmas Tree, and Crafty Sentiments Challenge where the challenge is Bingo and I chose the top line, Red, Pearls and die cuts.

I used my new die from Crafter's Companion Chantilly Lace Stamping Frame, red card and backing paper is from stash as is the lace, ribbon and pearls the image is one I have had for more years than I care to remember and the poor thing was sitting neglected on my computer.  The silver snowflake is one my crafting buddy Rachel cut out for me a few months ago.

Hope you like it

Will be back blog hopping shortly am off to get my breakfast am starving.

Loads of love

Sketch n Stash Challenge 124

Good morning everybody

Hope you all had a good night's rest and that the weather is not too bad where you are.

Today's card is for the Sketch n Stash Challenge and I used a Crafter's Companion image and papers from their inspiration magazine cd rom, coloured the cat with promarkers and the white part of the hat with a wink of Stella (white pen) to add some sparkle, the Christmas tree is from memory box which I have had for ages, holly is a Marianne die, snowflake is a crafts too die which I bought in Taunton at the weekend.

I have to contact Crafter's Companion this morning as I ordered a couple a bits on the 18th and then ordered a bit more on the 20th, the things I ordered on the 20th have been dispatched but the CD's I ordered on the 18th no sign of so will phone them to see what is happening, know they are busy with their Birthday Week but I would of thought stuff I had ordered first would have been dispatched first logical really.

Am off to have my breakfast and a cuppa and will pop back later to do a bit of blog hopping

Love to all

Sketch Saturday # 281

Morning all

What a horrid day it is outside, high winds, heavy rain and very dark.  The nausea and headache have finally gone thank goodness, thank you for all your get well wishes they are appreciated, as I don't leave the house very often and now I no longer work I am rather isolated.

My card today is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge #281 and I decided I would make some more Christmas Cards as Sarah wants to send some to her work colleagues and I like to send the family a handmade card because if I send them a shop bought one I get shouted at lol.

I used a Mo Manning pre-coloured image that I bought from Hobby House the snowflake die is one I bought yesterday at the Taunton Craft Show, Christmas Tree and Holly are Marianne dies which I bought last year, papers from stash.  Sentiment was computer generated.

I will be back shortly to do a bit of blog hopping

Lots of love

What a treat

Evening all

Welcome to my new members, thank you for following me.

What a lovely day I have had, Sarah surprised me last night saying she had bought tickets to Sincerely Yours paper craft show for today so we set off just after 9am and got there around 10.30 met up with some of the girls from Docrafts which is always fun.  Bought a few goodies only took £50.00 with me and came back with around £8.00 so not too bad, and some quality time with Sarah.

I am feeling slightly better today, still a bit queasy but nothing like it has been over the last few days have dosed myself up with medication today so maybe that's why I managed to go to Taunton.

My card today is a ruby anniversary card which my eldest daughter Pauline ordered for one of her work colleagues (they ordered two) one which I posted yesterday.  Want to thank Nic as she has let me use one of her anniversary cards as a template for this card.

I used an Indigo Blu stamp bought a while ago and Sizzix 657562 heart framelits which I bought today in Taunton for this card ribbon from stash and the little embellishment with the red pearl in the centre is part of the candy that I won from Nat only have to put the insert in and then I can pass it over to Pauline to give to her colleague.

Am off to do a bit of blog hopping now
Loads of love
