Celebration Give Away

Evening all

Hope you are all keeping well.  I have had a busy day today, went to Modbury to our local fabric shop to buy some backing and wadding for a quilt I am making and have decided to do this by hand rather than using the machine and quilting as I go as it is a double bed size it is going to take me ages.

I have also been sitting in my little craft area today still loads of stamps to sort out where they all came from I do not know, think they have been doing the naughty in the drawer and multiplying lol x

I have made a card today using the Crafter's Companion Paintbox CD as I wanted some girly cards for the Fair in the Square which is held in the village every two years and this year I have a table booked so need to get some cards made as Sarah usually takes them into work with her to sell.

I will be having a give away when my craft room is completed which should be around Friday next week (22 April) so please do leave a link and I will do the random org, it is for some 12 x 12 storage boxes, a few stamps and a We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board plus some Sew Easy threads and hole punches for sewing not sure what they are called.  Pictures below

Anyway without further ado here is my card

That's it from me today will post some other makes tomorrow hopefully.

Love to all

What a busy week

Evening Everybody

Have you enjoyed the last couple of days with the glorious sunshine, it is now raining and a bit windy here on Dartmoor.

Earlier this month Sarah and I went for a day trip to Ikea in Bristol which is about 2 hours from where we live as I was looking for some storage for my craft room which we decided needed a make over as I could not find anything.  We ordered the Alex set of drawers and bought some boxes and some magazine files to hold papers.  I then went on line to Clever Cuts and bought some 12 x 12 paper storage shelves and also some die storage boxes.  We also bought a printer table for under the desk on casters so I can pull it out when needed for photocopying etc.

So Friday last week I emptied my craft room which took all day and then Alan and I then went to B&Q on Saturday and bought some Conti Board, some brackets.  Alan then proceeded to put more shelves in for me.  We finally finished all except one shelf which will be going in this weekend hopefully and then came the part where I sorted everything out, lots went to the charity shops, gave some away to friends and I am much tidier and seem to have more room (which means of course more goodies).

Yesterday was our granddaughter Jessica's Birthday can't believe she is 20 seems like only yesterday she was born.   As she is in to clothes and bags made this card from the Fabulous Fashion CD by Katysue designs I just love this CD as it has some amazing stuff on it.

I hope you like it.

I will be posting photo's of the newly improved craft room as soon as the last shelf is up but what really scares me is the fact that I thought I had hardly any stamps but when emptying the room out I found two A4 storage cases full of stamps most of which have never been used I then opened a box and found a load more I now have a drawer full of wooden stamps and two boxes full of stamps but they are now in order and easy to find as I stamped them onto a 6 x 6 card and put in a cello bag and then popped into a box does that make sense (I would be dangerous if I had a brain cell that worked)

I can't finish the stamps off as I need some Ezee Mount for the unmounted stamps so when they are done we will be all organised for at least a week lol.

Well I am signing off for the night now and will be casting my eye over your lovely blogs tomorrow when I have a spare hour.

Love to all
Sweet dreams

Am Very Late with my challenge

Hi Everybody this should have been posted yesterday but I was unable to get to my craft room due to the fact that we are having a good sort out and putting in extra storage shelves and drawers so after today will have to use either my laptop or my tablet for posting.

Anyway we have another challenge over at Our Crafty Corner and the theme is anything, so why not pop along and take a look at the DT examples and then enter for yourself you never know you might win a prize from our lovely sponsors which are:

and

My card is from an image by Lacy Sunshine, I do hope you like it

Backing papers from stash
Image - Lacy Sunshine
Coloured in using the Spectrum Noir Water Pencils
Flowers etc from Ribbon Girl

Will post photo's of my craft room when finished think it's going to take a while but it will be so much better and I will be able to find things (hopefully) I emptied out a drawer in my storage under the desk and found a whole load of stamps which I had forgotten I had so am now sorting these out and putting them in some sort of order and putting them on the shelf so I don't have to bend down.

Sarah and I travelled to Bristol to Ikea on last Saturday about a two hour trip and we bought some of their Alex Drawers which are shallow and I will be able to keep lots of goodies in them and will be able to get rid of the hodge podge of drawers already under the table.

Am off now to sort out a box  under the table which has not seen the light of day since I put it under there about 4 years ago lol   I will then be along to look at all your lovely creations.

Bye for now

Another Lovely Day

Afternoon/Evening all

Have had a lovely day today, I met up with our eldest granddaughter Nicole and my new great granddaughter Darcy and went out for lunch it was lovely, had a good old chat.  Afterwards we popped in to where our daughter Sarah works to show off Darcy and to pass some mail to Sarah that had come to us by mistake.  I then came home to where the post had been delivered and my new Joanna Sheen House Mouse, decoupage CD had arrived so had to have a play.

Alan will be home shortly so this is going to be a quick post and I will pop by to see your lovely creations after dinner is over with tonight.

So without further ado here is the card I made this afternoon do hope you like it.

Sorry about the photo not very good I know but the battery is running low and I need to charge it and the light was shining on my scan n cut.

Well am off to start dinner for Alan and will pop back a bit later to do some commenting.

So Naughty

Morning All

Beautiful day here in Sunny Devon am going to pop some washing out as soon as I have done this.  I apologise for not commenting on anybody's beautiful creations but both Alan and I have been really poorly with chest infections really took us both off our feet at the same time but things are nearly back to normal now thank goodness.

I went over to my crafty friend Rachel's on Saturday for a play afternoon and had a wonderful time creating some cards managed to get a few made and then finished them off at home.

I also wanted to say that over at Our Crafty Corner you will still be able to enter the challenge of anything goes so why not pop along and have a go.

So without further ado here is what I made over at Rachel's on Saturday and then decorated when I got home.

Crafters Companion House Template

Used a Martha Stewart punch for the tiles
Used sparkly pens from Crafter's Companion on the Chimney and make it patchy

Jayne Netley Mayhew CD and starfish from stock

Again the Jayne Netley Mayhew CD and die's borrowed from Rachel

Another Jayne Netley Mayhew image from CD

Mo Manning image  used papers and card from the Hobby House which I have had sitting in my craft room for yonks waiting for me to do something with so I decided I was going to try and de-stash my room by using most of the stuff it in before buying anymore ..... do you believe me lol x

And finally but not least card made for a friend who is going to be 80 on Sunday and as she loves a good cuppa thought this would be ideal for her, and this is from the Downton Abbey Collection from Crafters Companion.

Well I am off to put the washing out on the line and get showered and dressed before I shame myself and still be undressed at 11.am. We have a knitting group here in the village and I am the key holder for the community rooms so best get my self organised as I have to get the room ready for 1.30.

Hope everybody is keeping well.  I will catch up with you all later today as I am going to get my laptop out and sit in the living room with my feet up and a lovely cuppa by my side and do some long awaited commenting.

Bye for now

love Alison

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry and a new challenge

Dear All

I am so sorry for not doing any commenting on your wonderful creations but both Alan and I have been really unwell with chest infections.  Alan has gone back to work today but he is not ready really but you know what men are they think they know best.

This is my first day up and my chest is still wheezing and talking to me when I breathe in and out.

Anyway enough of that I will pop along to your blogs later to check out your lovely stuff.

Today is the start of a New Challenge over at Our Crafty Corner and there have been some changes so why not pop along and check them out.

Our sponsor today is the lovely ppinky dolls and they have some cute designs if you don't know them they are on Etsy and if you click on the link above you will be taken straight to the site.

The theme on the challenge is the same anything goes so please do try and enter as you never know you might be one of our winners.

So here is my card, do hope you like it.

Am off to the garage just now to pick Sarah up as she has put her car in for an MOT not sure what we are doing for the rest of the morning but I have the knit and natter group this afternoon and as I am the only one with the key for the Community Rooms I really must go even though I don't want to.

I will pop by your lovely blogs later on today when everything has quietened down and I can concentrate without interruptions.

Lot of love to all

Alison
