Feeling Sad

 Afternoon all

I am a bit sad today, I have been speaking to my eldest brother this morning and he has told me he is on his own this year for Christmas.  His eldest son has been very ill this year in and out of hospital and usually Bill goes to them as Richard helps my brother by carrying him up the steps to the house ( my brother had his leg removed a couple of years ago and now his good leg is playing up so he is unable to stand due to extreme pain).  His youngest son recently split with his wife and so he is going to his mum’s with the children, again too many steps for my brother to get into the house.

He lives around 300 miles from me and only has two bedrooms and as Sarah our youngest is with us over Christmas there is not enough room for us to visit him and I live in a 1 bedroom bungalow so no room for him to come here.  I am distressed at the thought of him being on his own.

Sorry just needed to explode.  I am showcasing another card which was commissioned and hope you like it.

Very Quiet Day

 Evening everybody

Hope you are all keeping well and safe.   I have had a very quiet day, a bit of housework  and some cards made but unable to showcase just yet as they are for my Polkadoodles  Gem of a Craft Challenge Design Team.

I have made a Christmas Card that I can show you, this was a commissioned card that a friend asked me to make for her family.

Just about to cook dinner so will be catching up on your lovely blogs shortly.

Fun Day

 Hi all

Hope you are all warm and well.   Its been a horrid day here on Dartmoor, raining most of it.  I went to the pub this morning for a crafty play.  It was £5.00 and we made a Christmas Cracker table centre piece it was fun.    The centre bit comes apart so you can put presents in it.  If anyone wants to know how to make it let me know and I will do a tutorial

  

I then came home and have spent the afternoon catching up on some orders that I have for Christmas Cards, will post photo's over the next few days.

Have you been over to Gem of a Craft Challenge yet the challenge is still open so why not go ahead and take part you never know you might win.

Alan was making chicken curry for tea but as we forgot to take the chicken out last night and its still not fully defrosted think we may be having something else.

Double Z card

Afternoon all

Sorry been very busy so not posted for a few days or even commented.  I awoke this morning at 4am could not get back to sleep so made 4 flans, 2 bacon and egg and 2 mushroom flans two are for the family and two for the sewing group this evening.

I also typed the minutes of the last village hall committee meeting, finished off items on my tick list for the OAP luncheon club.   Took the oldies to the coffee morning, home again for lunch

I am off over to Sarah's soon just waiting for a GP phone consultation, how they can diagnose over the phone bewilders me but hey ho.

I made a card for a very good friend and here it is

New Challenge at Gem of a Craft Challenge

 Morning everybody

I can’t believe this is my third outing as a Design Team member for Gem of a Craft Challenge and this fortnight the theme is Christmas and anything goes so here is my make using Code 08321 Sweet-Tweet-Snowman.  I made an easel card with a drawer and then put some sweets in to make it that bit special.  Papers are from the Winnie Winter pack , a few snowflakes made with miri card and some gems and a greeting and hey presto.

Why not pop over and have a go at the challenge.

Christmas Wreath

 Afternoon everybody

I made a card for hubby's brother and his wife, I always try to make them a different type of card each year.  This year wanted to try something out of my comfort zone, this card took me two days to make.  Its a Christmas Wreath Card.  I used CC Florian Foam to make the flowers which I really enjoyed doing but my fingers were very inky for days lol.  

So here without further ado is the card.

Well for some reason my blog has decided I am French lol.  I have caught up with all your lovely blogs if I have missed anyone I apologise.

Caterwauling

 Morning everybody 

Busy day ahead Coffee Stop with the oldies this morning, then home for lunch then popping into town as I need some waistband interfacing for this evening then off to Sarah’s for dinner (having casserole tonight which I made yesterday). Then it’s off to sewing class.

Todays card is used by masking stamps, it took me three attempts before I was happy with this and as I have never done this before am happy as to how this turned out.

I had so much fun doing this will certainly do it again
